BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
It'll be key to see how he develops QBs. His bio showed he was QB coach his last two years at Miami of Ohio. Quote Link to comment
adc7236
I think Watson will do a great job. It will be interesting to see if Cally will ever give up the play calling duties and turn them over to Watson making him a true OC. I doubt he will though. Quote Link to comment

I doubt he will though. nope. that would be admitting failure. he would rather fail miserably deny it and let everone watch then admit failure and try to fix it. i bet we dont see any firings of some of the worst coaches (elmo, busch) on the staff either. That didn't take long. and this pretty much surprises no-one. let's face it, right after novell interviewed for the iowa state job, he had to put a lock on his door to keep watson from moving his stuff into his office when he went home at night. I haven't heard whether Watson would give up the recruiting coordinator role but I wouldn't be surprised if it went to Busch. Quote Link to comment

AV Red
Fast rise for Coach Watson. TE coach to recruiting coordinator to offensive coordinator. I think Cally has a lot of confidence in Watson and I would not be surprised to see Watson play a larger role than Norvill did in the game day play calling. IMO Quote Link to comment

So Busch is a bad coach now too? Callahan never admited failing? Did you happen to catch any of the post OU game coverage or, say, any article written for a week or two after? Or are we just setting those aside so you can seethe some more? You seem to know an awful lot about a bunch of coaches you despise. Anyway, Watson is a good fit for this position. I like it. I would say most likely not, since all you seem to do is bitch and post negativity! Here's the word for the day....."research"! Quote Link to comment

pigsonthewing
btw, it would be a big mistake to make Busch the recruiting coordinator. you dont take your best recruiter and put him behind a desk. Quote Link to comment
