np_husker
Does anyone really buy the argument that there will be competition to determine the starting QB next season? Seems to me that everyone has been pointing to Sam Keller since day one. Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
Looks like its Keller.. Did you see ESPN talking about him on the sighning day show... WOW .. Quote Link to comment
Alex 4.0
Did you see ESPN talking about him on the sighning day show... WOW .. No, perhaps you could paraphrase? Quote Link to comment
husker rob
i am sure that there will be some compitition. I am glad that Joe Ganz has been in the system for 3 years in case Sam flames out. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I believe that the only way there is really going to be any competition at the quarterback spot is if Keller cannot pick up the offense. I think he has proved that he has the skills to be a successful quarterback, the thing he has to prove now is if his skills can transfer over to our offense. Quote Link to comment

KansasHusker
Did you see ESPN talking about him on the sighning day show... WOW .. No, perhaps you could paraphrase? They just pretty much said how good he is and how even though Taylor is good...Keller will be an upgrade. Nice minute or 2 of them just prasing him though. Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
And they said he will be a NFL QB... Maybe if he turns out to be this good he will land in Houston.... Willis Quote Link to comment
Offspring2099
Can Lee be redshirted? Quote Link to comment
huskers1
I think he will be an upgrade as well. Taylor was good there is no doubt about that. However, I think next year we will se what a more athletic qb who has a good grasp on the offense can do. Keller will be able to throw the ball downfield more. I also think he will be able to check off better and just dump the ball off if the big play isnt there. Something that I noticed Taylor missed a lot this year. Another thing I noticed was that Taylor was not that good at seeing what the defense was going to do. A lot of time he would wait to long for the receiver to be open instead of reading how their body was turned or something like that. I think that will be an upgrade as well, Keller will be able to anticipate what the defense is going to do. I personally dont think there will be a question as to who the starter is next year. I think the coaches have to say that so the others try hard and push Keller, but they have a great idea as to who is going to be in command. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
i agree, this is pretty much a done deal. keller has had all fall to throw on the scout team and learn the play book. he strikes me as the type of qb that can throw the ball to "the right place" the right shoulder, etc. and throw a deep ball accurately, provided he has time in the pocket. we'll see, but for all practical purposes he has been tagged as the starter. BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Can Lee be redshirted? yes Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
There will be competion for the starting job the first day of practice and Keller will be so far ahead of the others that the next day of practice they will switch to try and determine who the back up will be. Hunter94
correct, he didn't come here to sit out his senior year, he could have done that at Arizona Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I think there is no question who the lead guy our there is.............but in 2008 watch out there is going to be some major competition at QB. Quote Link to comment
