BigWillie Posted June 13, 2007 Share Posted June 13, 2007 Titchener was a good punter, when it came to pinning teams inside the 20. But he wasn't the punter that was able to change field position. His leg was very weak on alot of occasions, which cost us field position. With him, you almost have to take the good with the bad. In Such, he showed a VERY strong leg for a RS Frosh (correct me if I'm wrong about his year of eligibility). I'd be willing to lean to Such right now over Dan, unless of course Dan has improved on his leg strength from last season. But about the DC ... I agree for the most part. I would however put Nate Swift in over Peterson. Swift, while not being a sexy pick, has earned his stripes over the past two years. He does everything Peterson does, and gives you a bit more of a vertical threat than Peterson will. Peterson will get plenty of PT, but I believe Swift is above him right now. Also, I would flip Shukree and Ndamukong on the d-line. I would want Ndamukong more in one-on-one situations with guards, so he can use his ability to penetrate. But I hope to God that Ty will go over to BDE, as you point out. Quote Link to comment

huskers1 Posted June 13, 2007 Share Posted June 13, 2007 Ya I agree that Asante will be starter at SS. I also think that Wilson will be the starter at FS, judging from the spring, and what the coaches were saying about him. IMO I think they should move Thenarse to corner to prepare for the 08' season and get in the rotation this year. Bowman, Grixby, and Jones will all be gone. That leaves us with, hopefully, Murillo, West if he stays there, Blue, Sullivan, and more than likely Amakamura. Thats three probable redshirt freshmen and a redshirt sophmore, along with one senior. I like our chances a lot better if our starters are Thenarse and Murillo. I know its not even the start of the 07' season, but I always like to look ahead. Quote Link to comment
