cmb23
"Callahan said Patrick Witt and Beau Davis are fighting for the backup spot behind Keller." Correction --> Behind Ganz (remember him, the guy who SHOULD'VE been starting all season) we'll see wont we. I have my doubts that he will do better than keller Last time I checked, neither Keller or Ganz were helping give up the most rushing yards in the country this year.... Quote Link to comment
BIG RED N
The good news may be that Kansas doesn't have any real film on Ganz and his style of play is certainly different than Keller, so it could give you guys some new offensive tactics to work with. Yeah, right! With these coaches it will be run, run, pass, punt each series. Quote Link to comment

Correction --> Behind Ganz (remember him, the guy who SHOULD'VE been starting all season) Why do you think Ganz should have been starting all season, just because he came in at the end of the game and made a few good passes? The backup QB is always the most popular player on the team. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
here is the article from the LJS Callahan said senior Lance Brandenburgh is also done for the season after suffering a shoulder injury against Texas. Does any one know exactly when Brandenburgh went down in the fourth quarter? Did Texas (Charles) do all their scoring after his injury? Quote Link to comment
hastingshusker
I have to wonder if these kids are more prone to injurry due to the fact that they "play" practice. Is it possible that they are just not used to serious contact? I think practicing full speed full padded will weed out the injury prone and make the kids a hell of a lot tougher. This is just my thoughts on all the massive amount of injurries durring the Callahan years. While I agree with you on the mutant two hand touch practices we have the injury to Keller is a freak injury that couldnt be prevented. In "normal" (and by normal I mean everyone other then us) practices the QB is barely allowed to get touched which wouldnt "toughen" him up for a hit like this. Everyone else on the team could use some contact in practice though. Itd be good for em. Quote Link to comment
DaveH
And this is exactly why we should have gotten Ganz more game experience during the season in some of the blowouts. What blowouts? Nevada? He got in last year in at least two games that I can remember. Quote Link to comment

Have no idea why he never got a series during those games. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFan505
I hope that Keller and Brandonburgh have a speedy recovery, now we get to really see how good Ganz is and if everyone saying that he should start were right. GO BIG RED Quote Link to comment

MCAT800
Well Ganz has been patient sitting behind Keller and now it's his job. I like his mobility compared to Keller, he also has better footwork, but limited game experience which could bite us in the arse. Good luck Joe Quote Link to comment
Bleeding Husker Red
Keller out for season, unless Jan 1 bowl game, broken left collar bone. This is official Link? wyohusker
The only thing that Keller had that Ganz is lacking is arm strength. Seeing as how we very rarely throw the ball deep anyways I don't see how this could hurt us. GBR Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
Sorry to hear the news, Sam, as it must be disappointing. Keep your head up. Thanks for your leadership you provided in your short time here. I enjoyed watching you play. I'll be rooting for you at the next level and glad you came to be a part of the Husker family.
