BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
I heard them say on 1620 he was the number 2 back on his team last season and will be the main back this season. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
looking at the rivals free board there is a topic that states his is the newest commitment. This kid is a tough runner, not a blazer, watch his film and he breaks a lot of tackles..... he also has great hands and can catch the ball which is important. I see us taking at least 1 more rb, and I think we are looking for a shifty speed back to break the long runs..... burkhead? keep in mind, he also has the size and strength to play on D if need be. On defense would a smallish pass rush DE specialist be a possibility (with say 10-15 pounds on him)? Perfect measurables for a strong safety... Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Coach Beck could prove to be a great recruiter by establishing pipelines to these top Texas high schools. Randles' high school is also one of the best. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan500
Scout has a Dontrayevous profile and a Tray profile? I would guess NU is full in running backs for the year Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Omaha World Herald. We've got our power-back: "They told me to expect to do the same thing there that I'm doing down here, running and catching the ball and finishing my runs," he said. "I do a little bit of everything, but mostly I just run north and south." Quote Link to comment

Landlord
Sounds to me like he's a bit under the radar, but emerging as the go-to back this coming season might generate some interest so if we can hold onto him congratulations. Also, I'd like to say that so far he definitely wins the award for coolest name in the class of 2009. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
He is not the only back we are taking... Quote Link to comment

Film, on the other hand, can be enlightening as regards actual speed. In looking at Tray on film, he is nowhere near the speed or quickness of a safety. In fact, he has questionable speed for an OLB as well. An ILB or beef him up and place him at DE, maybe. Quote Link to comment
RedNLeader
from the youtube video it looks like he can catch passes out of the backfield pretty good but i think that he would be better at fullback or at the linebacker spot Quote Link to comment

huskerfan500
He is not the only back we are taking... We have already taken Zimmer, which a full back is still a back, I am not saying there is no shot but I would be surprised if NU has a top target being a Running back Quote Link to comment
missouri_husker24
That HS that he goes to Euless (TX) Trinity, are football powerhouses! They won state last year and are big favorites to do it again. Winning State playing Texas Football is about the toughest thing you can do! Div 1 5A (The Big Dogs) State Champs in 07 and 05 with numerous trips to the quarter and semi finals. Well said. Trinity is a HUGE power house. That commercial that used to air during football season with Bill Parcels was featuring Trinity High School. I played against them freshman year before moving. Even there freshman team was beastly. That being said, this kid should have a great work ethic and should really know they game well. Quote Link to comment
