Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Mendoza to catch the ball. Quote Link to comment
DaveH
We need to start not sucking. That's what I'd recommend anyway... Quote Link to comment

HuskerTrucker
This is one aspect of the game that could determine how the season goes. If it is like the Spring Game, this is going to be a long, long, very long season. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
I am sure that the coaches are aware of the issues with the special teams ie the return teams. I am also sure as I am typing this that Bo and company will work this issue during the next few weeks. Quote Link to comment

Husker_x
Practice makes perfect. Just ask Iverson. And I think a part of it is just finding the guy who's going to have the spark. We've got some speedy potential returners. If Mendoza ever figured out that you've got to catch the ball before you ignite the jet engines, he'd be a threat. But yes, the battle for field position is one of the more over-looked aspects of playing good football. I imagine they'll be working pretty diligently on that during camp. Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Mendoza to catch the ball. I think hes the guy, since I watched his high school, high-lite tape. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
admo
Stop sending in the Fair Catch Unit from the sidelines. Last 5 seasons: 2007- 12 games, 17 returns 8.2 yds (17? Are you kidding me?) 2006- 14 games, 34 returns 8.2 yds (committee) 2005- 12 games, 49 returns 12.9 yds (best season - committee) 2004- 11 games, 30 returns <22 returns for The Great Santino Panico @3.1yds a return > 2003- 13 games, 39 returns 9.7 yds (Josh Davis) There needs to be an emoticon for barfing. If it is like the Spring Game, this is going to be a long, long, very long season. Nobody does real returns in spring games. Too easy to sustain a serious injury. Quote Link to comment

Full speed head on impacts = high chance of injury. Quote Link to comment

That is pretty ill. I guess you only get 17 returns when you can't force the other team to punt. Quote Link to comment
