HuskerKing130
If Ricky Henry is good enough to crack the 2 deep, IMO the staff should burn his redshirt & let him play. Quote Link to comment

Seems like they had one good season after that and then he was gone (fired?). Quote Link to comment

husker rob
not a good idea at all. if you do not have to burn a shirt, then dont. you only want to play someone like Rickey if he is the best player at that position, or if injuries mandates it Quote Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
NO! Burning a redshirt to help a kid learn a system is a waste IMO. He wouldn't even be playing well enough until about the 10th game or so and the season is almost over by then. He is going to progress much better if he redshirts and observes. Quote Link to comment

Anyone on the roster who is good enough to contribute significantly or start should be on the field IMO. Quote Link to comment

LEtting him learn the system another year would be much better than throwing him to the wolves now. Quote Link to comment

CENTEXHUSKER
I don't understand all the fuss about burning a redshirt. My uncle used to burn his redshirt after every loss, it's not a big deal, just go to HuskerNation.com(nice plug right)and get another. Quote Link to comment

RedNLeader
If slauson said that ricky henry has a relentless motor and is one mean son of a B*tch why not put him out their to put a spark in the o-line and maybe some of his nastiness will rub off on the rest them and then maybe we can see some results in the rushing game Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
Why would you want to burn his redshirt in a year that we are going to be mediocre at best? That would be crazy...no...that is just plain stupid! Quote Link to comment
