Spartness
Didn't Willie say we are not taking another RB, once Rex committed? I suspect he committed to Purdue for that reason. But who knows. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Oh well Good luck to him. Figured that would be the move after Rex committed to Nebraska. Hope his new coach manages to make it all 4 or 5 years. He'll need to be a better Head Coach than he was an O-line Coach this year: 12. Purdue, Danny Hope (offensive line coach) -- We've known about this for a while but we don't know much about the coach. Hope was hired in January as Tiller's coach-in-waiting. Purdue gets credit for continuity. Hope is a former Purdue assistant and was 35-22 in five seasons at Eastern Kentucky. But in his return in 2008, the Boilers went 4-8. Hope's offensive line finished tied for 65th in sacks allowed and the offense was a pedestrian 51st in total yards. Quote Link to comment

HSKRNOKC
so he chose Purdue over Nebraska for early playing time? was that the main reason? We were only taking one back. Im not sure but I beleive we cooled of to freezing level when we knew Rex committed. Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
so he chose Purdue over Nebraska for early playing time? was that the main reason? No, we were done at the RB position once Burkhead committed. If Burkhead doesn't come aboard, ATM is a Husker. Quote Link to comment
