3)Sharpe is your RB :laughpound c'mon, that's just not gonna work: TOO SMALL!

does the word Sproles mean anything to you, there have been countless guys who have been "too small" that have continued to play great even in the pros, I hate when people use size of an RB as a reason they are not good.

Anyways KU will be good, but NU will also be good. I dont think it will determine the North, it WILL be a great game, not a blowout from either side

Also you have to ask your self do you want NU to go to the big12 championship game and lose? I can see the positives and negatives for that, but I am hesitant in wanting to go and get killed by a south team (UT, OU, OSU)

Well, it's not just that Sharp is too small, he's just not that good. He's no Sproles, different animal altogether. But even Sproles will never be an every down back in the League--because of his size.

And sure, I want us to get to the CCG game. It's a step in the right direction. We may lose, but I don't think we'll get blown out because of the strength of our D--and it's amazing that I can type that last part considering our D in '07.

Sharp isn't good? According to who....you? Who cares what you think. Anyone will tell you he's a good running back. Have you watched the guy play, or are you just being ignorant? Just because the guy is small doesn't mean he's bad.

I see this game as being close, with KU forcing Nebraska to turn the ball over. Being in Lawrence will be too much to overcome for the Blackshirts. Reesing and the KU offense are just too much at home.

I don't think Nebraska fans are grasping how bad the loss of Ganz will affect them. Having a proven starter is HUGE. Just ask KU. It took Mangino IONS to finally get Reesing. Now that we have that stability, success has followed. It will be a learning year for the NU QB, especially the fact that he'll be surrounded my other YOUNG skilled players. It will be a long season for the Nebraska offense. They'll have to rely on the defense to win most games. But it won't be enough against KU in Lawrence.

Dude. WTF strain of kind bud did you score on Mass Street this weekend? Are you kidding me?

Being in Lawrence actually equates to home field advantage? Honestly? I've been there. It's nice, for a high school facility. Nice track, BTW.

IONS? I guess I could see a lot of static discharge every time Mangino's thighs rub together when he's walking, but otherwise I'm not following you.

You remember what long seasons are like, right? I'm assuming you followed KU football before the stars aligned and miracle '07 season unfolded, but just as a reminder, imagine this guy sitting on your head and farting:

KU couldn't beat NU by two touchdowns even if Jaleel White was the starting Husker QB.

Yeah Captain, were you there for the 76 points we hung on ya'll last time you were there? Or the time before when we beat you? LOL. Our home field advantage matters my friend. You'll find out once again this year. I swear, the Huskers win a few games and their fans annoint themselves a top 10 team. Funny stuff.

To address another one of the kool-aid chuggers on this board, As for our O-line, we started 2 freshman tackles last year, and a true freshman tight end. We do lose our center and 2 guards, but they sucked, and Hartley was beaten out half way through the year by Sal Capra. So technically, we lose 2 guys. Our tackles with a season of starting under their belt (plus 3rd year in the system) will shine. I'm really not concerned about our o-line. They'll greatly improve. :) Oh, and captain obvious, you may wanna watch the kind bud comment-I would say that's a personal attack!!! Mods!!! oh Mods!?!?! :cop:

First, you are talking about the defense that had 60 points put on by Colorado and 50 some by Ball State. I think UNO could have put up 60 on us in 07, Big deal.

Now,

No, we didn't forget about the last 2 losses there but this is also a completely different team, different staff, and different mentality. Callahan couldn't seem to get kids to be mentally tough, on the road especially. Which lead to getting our ass kicked multiple times on the road during his 4 years there. Bo and his staff are completely different. Our players have confidence and are a lot tougher than they were under Callahan, and that was proven multiple times this past year.

Finally, You guys cant say sh#t about winning a few games and then gulping down the koolaid. What happenned after 07? Kansas fans got cocky as all hell. We aren't cocky, nor do I think we are anywhere near a top even 15-20 team but we are better than Kansas. No matter what you guys do, Kansas will always only be a mediocre football program.

Hey, I'm not just trying to be a jerk, I've watched Sharp: he's too small which means he's easy to bring down, like with one handed tackles, and he's not that great between the tackles and not that elusive around the edge. He's not going to run away from anybody. He needs a stellar line blocking for him to make him look 'good'. But other than that, yea, he's great :sarcasm .

Reesing is actually tougher to bring down than Sharp from what I've seen. You gotta hit Reesing real good and wrap up, otherwise, gonzo. Strong legs!

Sharp didn't do much against NE, we stuffed him in the 1st half and he got a little off the option in the 2nd because he got some blocks. KU's lack of a run game vs NE was a big part of why you guys lost that one. Conversely, Helu ran up and down you guys all day long. Helu is a really good back.

Just sayin', that's how I objectively see it. That big huge guy you had in '07 was what I would call a very good back.

Look, I'm trying to do you a favor here, if KU doesn't get their run game up to snuff, they are going nowhere.

I can think of two words off the top of my head that factored in about 10,000% more than home field advantage in that game:

Kevin, and Cosgrove

Seriously....you come on another team's fan board and stir up crap.....Then you expect not to be personally attacked for it? I am not saying that's it right but come on man, first it's a message board...so I suggest getting a thicker skin. Whining to the mods about getting butt hurt over something someone said to you is pretty lame.

True KU did hang 76 on NU last time, but that team had horrible coaching. That same NU team, with arguably a lot less talent in many areas (see 5 Walk On's starting on D), physically pounded KU just a year later. Coaching makes a HUGE difference and by the way that NU team will have 2 full years of that same great coaching. I get what you are saying about your OT's, but the issue is that Suh plays in the middle where your line is going to be young and very inexperienced. Suh will have some good young talent playing next to him as well. I don't think this bodes well for KU.

I'll put this thread to rest with this: Husker Nation is not grasping how difficult the loss of their skill players on offense will be. Period. When you finally grasp it, you'll be 6 games deep into the schedule.

LOL. You won't be able to run if you can't throw buddy! And as of right now, you really don't know. We'll just stack the box on you all day until you prove otherwise. You won't have the personel with the losses you sustained at receiver my friend. Our running attack will be even better! Are you kiddin me? Jake Sharp is the best running back in the Big 12 North! You're crazy dude. Just check his stats pal! :)

Hmm.... this seems vaguely familiar.....

Alright Saunders45, I'll take you up on that. I'll post the KU/USF score at the bottom of my sig after the big Jayhawk Win. That will be a good reminder for all the non-mangino-believers on this board.

The Jayhawks will be too much for USF to handle. We have WAY to many weapons on offense, and the defense is rock solid.

I still have the Hawks by 13. I have laready contacted my Vegas connection and have $100 on the Hawks. I can't believe they're 3.5 point dogs. Thanks for the free money Vegas!!!

USF:37 - KU:34

NU: 45 - KU:35

you are the wind beneath my wings, dude.
