It is a lot to ask for a true freshman QB to start. It is a big help to be around for the spring semester and spring practice, but I'm not sure it is enough. I think the only way he starts is if we see a melt down (or injuries) by at least one guy ahead of him... Quote Link to comment

huzkerbob Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 NO! Why throw him in the fire when we don't need to? We have several players who can tow the load while he learns the playbook. The best thing for Cody and the team, is to give him time in the system. Which WILL take time to learn. He'll be that much better of a QB when he does start, if they show patience while bringing him along. Quote Link to comment
