The Non-Conference Cup Cake Award Goes To....

Recommended Posts

Craig Bohl and his NDSU Bison have beat three lower level fbs teams in the last three years. All of them on the road. They also lost to Minnesota by one and Wyoming by two or three in that span. The cyclones better be ready to play that first game or they might get knocked off.

ISU will lose to NDSU....

My dad knows Craig Bohl

This list was confusing to read..you probably should have put Kansas first if they have the biggest cup cake schedule lol.

But it makes sense that Kansas would do that. I mean they have a ridiculous conference schedule this year and they need to find some way to become bowl eligible, because we all know they aren't beating Texas or Oklahoma in the same year ever.

Look for the North teams to come out of non-conference play with the following records because that is just the way it is...according to me - because I know just about as much as the next guy that knows exactly nothing.

Missouri – 2-2

Nebraska – 3-1

Iowa State – 2-2

Colorado – 2-2

Kansas State – 1-3

Kansas 2-2

Wow, any game of even moderate difficulty is a loss for the North... I must disagree...

I would have to agree, if we could beat Texas or Oklahoma, that would be good, very difficult to beat both. 1 would be a lot...

I think our non conference is as good as Iowa State's... They have one good team and 3 bad ones. If we played their schedule, we would go 4-0, with the only possible loss being Iowa, and I think we take that one. If they played our schedule, they would get Northern Colorado and maybe one more.

I guess I shouldn't have said "ever", but the chances are pretty slim for that to happen this year. Nebraska probably couldn't even do that for awhile.

I don't usually stick up for Kansas, but in this thread I feel like I should. Having to play TT, UT, and OU in the same year is brutal. I think them having a "cup cake" non conference schedule is well deserved so that they can make bowl eligibility. Just beat Missery so the North is between us KU and NU. :box

Yeah-KU had to schedule cupcakes this year. The big 12 slate for KU is just brutal this year. However, Southern Miss is a good squad. They finished 7-6 with a bowl win. They're no cupcake. But the other 3 are. The North better be between KU and NU, otherwise, I think I'll be sick if MU wins it again!

I think Colorado actually has a decent chance to start the season 0-4!! What a year to be a Buff!! :sarcasm

Put the crack pipe down :P

:yeah As much as I hate the Buffs....there is no way they start 0-4, they do have some talent on that team, and they do have a half way decent coach as much as it pains me to say it.

Ok, after all that I guess I am ready for a stiff drink...
