jjamuss
Three keys for Nebraska Posted by: Steve Sipple on September 2, 2009 at 8:06AM CST Note: These three keys are subject to change. Nebraska should win Saturday by 21 points or so if it: 1. Applies pressure on Florida Atlantic QB Rusty Smith, an excellent player. The d-line is probably Nebraska's foremost strength. The Husker big men need to come out firing. In this regard, Ndamukong Suh, Pierre Allen and company can set the tone for the season. 2. Minimizes busts. We all saw it last year: Blown assignments in the back seven leading to big plays and sometimes TDs. Drove Bo berserk. Year two in Pelini's system should transpire much more smoothly. 3. Takes care of the football. This is game one for Zac Lee as Nebraska's starter. He shouldn't try to force things. The Huskers should be able to pound away on the ground against FAU. There probably will be no need to get too fancy. The goal should be two turnovers or fewer. Remember, lots of new faces are going to be getting touches. The only part that bugs me is acceptable turnovers... there should be no turnovers, period. rest seems fairly accurate. Quote Link to comment

Your kidding, if a good major BSC team plays a avg Sun Belt team and is able to presure the QB, not give up big plays & not turn the football over they should win by 21 or so points. Well no s**t sherlock... Quote Link to comment
NU41SB
Ground breaking stuff here, really. To be quite honest, if you play a "solid" game as Sipp says here, you should be able to beat nearly any team by 21. Quote Link to comment

BigRedNV
Sipple is just being nice because he can't write that "Nebraska will kick the livin' $hit out of FAU". I could be over exaggerating though. Quote Link to comment
MUTigerFan
He forgot the part about giving 110% and winning one for the Gipper. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
If we win by less than 21 i will be extremely dissapointed. We should be up by 21 at half and be getting our 2nd stringers reps for almost the entire 2nd half. I am pretty sure Bo wouldnt agree that 2 turnovers is acceptable unless it is by the other team. skerfan1705
In all fairness to Sip...most pregame analysts are very similar in organization: Do: Obvious thing 1 Obvious thing 2 Obvious thing 3 Don't: Obvious thing 1 Obvious thing 2 Obvious thing 3 And VOALA! A WIN! Quote Link to comment
irieboy8
heres how its gonna go down ZAc will destroy in the early games.... screw up massivly in one game and everyone will call for his head (possibly upset game) Bo sticks with ZAc and he goes on to kill it win the bowl game Next season nebraska is BACK to full dominace with great recruits coming in and Nebraska in big 12 campionship game Zac gets drafted 2nd round Scores hot chicks and hooks me up with sister Quote Link to comment
Husker_x
I like Sip, but sometimes these media guys are so bored in the offseason that Captain Obvious is giving them sideways glances. Quote Link to comment
