n.e.husker
Hello all, Again i wasnt able to watch the husker game, so again i will ask to those who were able to see them first hand; did our defense earn blackshirts? Please explain your reasoning for them recieving or not recieving the blackshirt. Thanks and happy debaiting GBR Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
No. Defense made some mistakes and played uninspired. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
no, not at all...not by our standards at nebraska Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
No. Too many missed and/or broken tackles. Not enough fighting through blocks. But I will say there was some improvement this week against a better team. Quote Link to comment
LouisianaHusker
I would say no and the reason being is that the defense seemed to me to basically fall asleep at times and did not play with intensity for the entire game. Quote Link to comment
redout22
Because of the missed tackles I will say no. I think we made a strideforward because of the sacks. Quote Link to comment
shyndy
Because of the missed tackles I will say no. I think we made a strideforward because of the sacks. No way. even though that long pass play they ended up getting the TD after should have been Offensive interference, negating 6 of their 9 points, just gave up too much, especially in the run game. papersun87
No way, man. Guys out of position. Front seven looked sloppy all around. Amukamara had a pick in his hands and dropped it. Overall, looks like we stepped back from last week. With the exception that we DID pressure the quarterback better today. Quote Link to comment
BigRedNV
No Black Shirts yet. They had too many issues stopping the run and gave up some big plays. VA Tech had two guys rush for over 160 yards each and had a team rushing total of 439 yards. Granted it was against Marshall, but the Huskers have some work ahead of them before next week! Hunter94
i would guess Bo is less than satisfied. this will be an interesting week of practice leading up to the VT game, i will say one thing, they are going to have to want it badly in order to beat VT at home and play all out for the entire game. if they take one play off on D, it will show against a team like VT. illnino
I know there are people who think Nebraska's saving some stuff on D for the VT game, and they might be, but they looked very sloppy today. Too many missed tackles, dropped int's, "dumb" penalties. To the OP, the answer is no. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
nope. D looked flat out uninspired today. Quote Link to comment
treeeman
if the defense was soft last week, it was softer this week Quote Link to comment
husk3rf8n
Not a chance. The LB's were awful today. I know they're young so I'll give them a break but they were invisible most of the game and when I did see them it was because they were missing tackles or not getting off blocks at all. The DL was average but I did think the secondary played well. I was hoping for an overall improvement between games 1 and 2 and did not see it. Quote Link to comment
