UGAHusker
I want to know who talked him through this. Paul? Ex-player? A current or former coach? My gut tells me someone did. In my minds-eye, it was TO. Okafor went to clean out his locker, shut the door and he was standing there. Gave him a "these aren't the droids you are looking for". Naw seriously, this is good news. Even with the hat choosing stunt, I've always had high hopes for Collins. Go out there and earn your spot buddy. You looked strong and fast at the spring game. GBR! Maybe Solich drove to Omaha and begged him to come back I like that one. Quote Link to comment

HUSKER FREAK
I heard about this listening to Sean Callahan on Husker inside dish and he also then said that he ran into DeAngello Evans and Evans said that leaving the Husker program was the biggest mistake of his life. Quote Link to comment
Husker_x
I'm glad he's back. He made the right decision. He's a young guy, has to learn patience. This isn't high school anymore. He'll get his shot if he works hard and is patient. Look at guys like Ganz, even Lee. Sometimes you ride the pine until you're a junior, but that's time well spent, too. You learn the game, you learn your position. You take notes from older guys. And he can't ever forget, you're a few injuries away from primetime, baby. It can happen to anyone. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
I dont know who talked to him...... but he needs to talk to brandon jackson. dont worry about your place on the depth chart at RB.... sooner or later you are going to get you shot...... make it happen and all of the sudden you are the man. shyndy
this is strange... Here's what I think it boils down to, and the guys on Husker Sports Nightly hit the nail on the head with what I've been thinking since he left. When running backs go to a division 1 school, they think they are the best running back in the nation even if that school recruited a couple of other backs. Then, when this guy gets there, he realizes that everybody is just as talented if not more talented than he is. He then soon realizes he is going to redshirt, and before you know it he is 3rd or 4th (maybe even lower) on the depth chart behind guys who haves years to play (like him) but are playing better than he is. He starts to think the place he is at isn't right for him, so he decides to transfer to another place to play ball and get more PT. I bet Collins just pulled himself together and realized that he didn't want to leave and that he needs to tough it out and perform. Being so far down on the depth chart that he is, he probably realized he needs to work really hard to start getting PT. This and I think it is probably especially frustrating for some of those guys to be instantly passed up by Burkehead. Quote Link to comment
pastamax
Oh Baby! Collins is a great between the tackles runner, which is something that we are now missing. I think he just needs a chance, and he will show his worth. Quote Link to comment
Deafy1289
Something must have drawn him back, and pastamax I agree that he is good running through the tackles but it has to be questioned why he hasn't made it up the depth chart. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy
I was going to bring up that Okafur was still on the roster on Huskers.com. I decided to make Cody Green for Road to Glory on NCAA 2010 and came across Collins name on there, and the thought went through my head that i thought everyone said his name was gone. Clearly he is back, though i am wondering why the drama? lol Quote Link to comment

Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Maybe Solich drove to Omaha and begged him to come back Now that's funny. I award you 7 Awesome Points. Seriously though, I'm glad he decided to tough it out. Quote Link to comment
Huskers532
I once asked Collins if I could call him Collin for short. He said no. Quote Link to comment
