knapplc
Spurred by a dominant performance against Texas in the Big 12 title game, Suh became the first defensive player voted The Associated Press College Football Player of the Year on Tuesday. I wish the media would stop harping on that game. Yes, it was a brilliant game. No, that's not the only time he did that this year. He produced magic all season. Just because the national media only paid attention this one game doesn't mean it was the only reason Suh was a Heisman candidate. Potzers. Quote Link to comment
SealBeachHusker
Great acknowledgment for his hard work and talent. A bit of vindication for a joke of Heisman process. Go SUHHHHHHH! Quote Link to comment
SealBeachHusker
Love this quote from Suh after winning the award: "I think I had a good year," he said. "I definitely got better in a couple of areas. I won't say I'm satisfied by any means, because we still have a big game left to play against Arizona in the Holiday Bowl." Humble AND still focused on Arizona. Gawd, I'm gonna miss this guy GBR! Quote Link to comment
Igetbored216
AP loses all credibility when they put Zenyatta - a horse - second in the category "Female Athlete of the Year". Quote Link to comment

Actually they lost all credibility when they gave the first place to Serena Williams. But then......who should have gotten first, second, or third? If you think about it, it was women's athletics that lost all credibility. They need to step up their play if they want the recognition some think they deserve. Quote Link to comment

Agreed, you should forward that comment to David Stern. Idiot thinks a woman will be in the NBA in 10 years. Wow. Quote Link to comment

NBA no, but anyone one of them would probably smoke any one of us on the b-ball court. Quote Link to comment

I thought Serena Williams was the horse and Zenyatta was some exotic tennis player . Quote Link to comment
