"I wish I could play one more year here and win a national championship," the 2009 AP National Player of the Year said before catching himself and amending his statement to ease any unintentional pressure.

 

"If Nebraska doesn't win next year, they'll win a national title the year after that," Suh predicted. "Those dudes coming back on that defense know how to play. There will be no drop-off on defense. They WILL be better than we were because they'll have one more year in Coach Bo and Coach Carl's system. Man, I'd like to have one more year in that system."

I guss suh maybe drinkin' the either way its great to hear. I'm so excited for next year. I whish I could just hibernate untill the middle of august. (Starting right after the spring game)

We have a good schedule and some faith on this squad. When someone as Suh makes such a comment, he must believe it. The man is very soft spoken and when he speaks YOU LISTEN. I certainly hope he is right, would love to see an NC or 10 the next 10 years. Consider me a believer.

Here's hoping the 2010 or 2011 Huskers make Suh's prediction come true.

 

I wish he had at least one more year to wear the Scarlet and Cream. Would have been sweet to watch him for another year.

Anyway, even if they had Suh back next year this team is still an offense away from a NC or even Big 12 Championship. Hopefully they can sustain some mometum they got from the bowl game.
