schuhbdoo
I think this game will get some big national attention. Potential number 1 pick going up against the (best?) D in the nation. NU undefeated and UW may be too. My wife has family/business up there, so we can have a good weekend away. Seattle in Sept isn't too bad, a little rain but bearable. The last game/only game I've seen in person was 1996, 19-0 with Jake the Snake making us look bad in Tempe. So, I've have had 14 years of wanting to get back to see them play in person. Let me know if anyone else is going to try to make it. Not sure if I am taking the kids might just be me and the misses. 8 months from yesterday and counting. Quote Link to comment

That's close to my birthday and I've never been to the West Coast other than SoCal. Plus I think Washington's stadium looks pretty cool with the harbor right off the one end. Quote Link to comment
default_28
I'd like to go. I live in Nor Idaho so its only a six hour drive. We'll see. It'd be cool to meet some of the posters on this board. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
I really want to go to this game, but I probably won't be able to afford it. I've heard Washington has nice fans. Quote Link to comment
Captain K
I'd be pretty surprised if it rained that weekend. That's a tad early. Once the rain does start, it doesn't quit 'til May though. Last time we played there it was beautiful and a great game. Outside of drunk college kids yelling obscenities, the fans were really cool. Definitely worth the trouble to go to that game. HuskerBob4
My brother and I will definitely be making the trip up...already booked the flights! Nice straight shot from Austin to Seattle...hoping to catch King Felix on the bump Friday night!!! Also thinking about doing the Seattle Underground Tour...any other suggestions??? theneguy95
My wife and I have been planning on going to this game since last year. I lived in Seattle for about 6 months to work for a friend of mine and made some pretty good friends up there. I was actually just looking at flights from omaha to seattle, tickets for the game, and miscellaneous expenses last night. Going to be there and we also haven't decided to take out son or not because he'll only be 11 months old at that time. Either way, we'll be there and have some friends we met while living in kirkland, wa there to so we can rub in that win (all in good fun.) My question is... where is the visitor's section? We'd really like to sit with other Husker fans when we go, but I don't know where that section is, which is why I didn't buy those tickets yet. Another question... Do you have to buy a ticket for an 11 month old at stadiums and/or airlines???? Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Should be a good game and hopefully we'll pull out the W in my opinion we will. Last time we visited Washington we won 27-14 back in 97' and Washington was #2 in the nation while we were #7. I was watching a walk-on program that NET did back in August that I watched today cuortesy of my parents DVR.....man that had me so pumped up for the 2010 season and then I just realized that we have 87 days till the spring game Quote Link to comment
craigsker
I currently live about 40 minutes up Interstate 5 from UW and hope to see lots of my fellow Husker fans at the game. If you've never been to Seattle, I want to encourage you to make the trip; not only for the game but for a great overall travel experience. There's lots of great dining, accomodations, and the scenery here is absolutely beautiful in September. Take a ride on a ferry and get a spectacular view of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound, go for a walk down on the Seattle waterfront and take in some great shopping, and there's always something going at the Seattle Center (home of the world famous Space Needle). Finally, taste some really great Pacific salmon while your here too. I went to the game in '97 and my experience with Husky fans was pretty positive. Many of them still remember the standing ovation their Huskies received in 1991 when the Huskies beat Nebraska in Lincoln as their team left the field. Hope to see you here! Quote Link to comment
RockyMountainOySker
I'm planning on heading to this game as well. I haven't done much in terms of researching for flights or tickets but still plan on making it at this point. Once we get a little closer to gameday, we should make another thread to set a meeting place (beer tent, bar, someones tailgate). Quote Link to comment
MrBumstead
I really wish my wife and I were going. I would easily do the 12 hour drive from Utah, but we're going to have about a 1 month old baby at the time, so we probably won't be able to make the trip this time. Maybe if that 2-for-1 with Boise State goes through... Quote Link to comment
HuskerinHouston
This topic was discussed earlier (mainly about tickets) link to that thread ticket link I did a ton of research on the ticket issue as I suspect it will be tough. Visitor section info and tailgating info is in the link above. I will be traveling up for the game and meeting my buddies from all corners of the country up there. I am told tailgating on the boats next to the stadium is the "hip" thing to do. Hopefully we can secure that as I have never tailgated on a boat before. Vancouver is also under consideration, I hear that town is a get place to visit. Plus, I have never been to Canada! Anyway, as the date comes closer I am sure we will have a huge thread about who is going and hopefully we can all meet up. Side note on trips as well. If anyone is planning on coming down to A&M game, that is one of the best atmospheres in all of the big 12. The A&M fans are very friendly and are a real joy to party with. They also do a lot of tailgating after the games as well. Our group is going to parlay that game with the CU game for a sweet thanksgiving double header road trip! If anyone contacts the athletic department and gets ticket information, please post. Quote Link to comment
808Husker in KCMO
I hope that this game is on ESPN. I'll be in Jamaica for my 30th birthday which IS the 18th of September. The resort we go to has a "Sports Bar" but really, its a bar with 1 tv tuned to ESPN. Quote Link to comment
huskrplaya
My parents already made hotel reservations so i am most likely going which will be awesome because i havn't been in washington before. Quote Link to comment

Maybe we can get Samberg or T Pain to show up. Maybe some ex players can show and people from this board. I am making a trip up on Friday and hoping to do a mixer somewhere at a host hotel on Friday night. We can take over a bar at the Westin or something like that. http://www.westinseattle.com/ I plan on having a nice steak dinner in downtown Seattle on Friday or Sat evening. Ruth's Chris in downtown is pretty good. schuhbdoo 1 Quote Link to comment
