schuhbdoo
Took a while, but they charged him with one count of burglary. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4983814 I am surprised it took so long to come out. Based on his past, this should result in his dismissal from the team. He had to be a top 10 Heisman candidate as well, so this is a huge blow to the ducks. This is no longer a rumor. HuskerMoon
How stupid can one be? Starting QB's burglarizing frat houses?? You would think PAC 10 championship QB's would be a little smarter. Quote Link to comment

ADS
Just heard on 1620, that LaMichael James was sentenced to 10 days in Jail for his crime, and they are still waiting on Masoli's sentence. Chip Kelly was also reported syaing that the University of Oregon will wait and see what punishments are handed down to James, and Masoli. I say kick them off the team, they represent the University. Oregon gave them an oppurtunity for a free education, use of top notch facilities and these two decided to steal and "harass" his girlfriend or wahtever she was. Make an example (Quentin Castille). Those in glass houses probably shouldn't cast stones. LP did a little more than "harass" his girlfriend or whatever she was. He was let back on the team. Quote Link to comment
GSG
I just got a an ESPN text that said Masoli is suspended for the 2010 season Quote Link to comment
GSG
Masoli suspended for 2010 season Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has pleaded guilty to a second-degree burglary charge stemming from the theft of two laptops and a guitar from a campus fraternity house in late January. Ducks coached Chip Kelly announced that Masoli will be suspended for the entire 2010 season. Masoli pleaded guilty as part of a deal that reduced his charge from a felony to a misdemeanor. Former Ducks receiver Garrett Embry also pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree burglary. Both were sentenced to 12 months probation and 140 hours of community service. They must also pay $5,000 restitution. Mentioned as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate in the coming season, Masoli threw for 2,147 yards and 15 touchdowns last season. He also rushed for 668 yards and 13 touchdowns. Earlier Friday, Oregon running back LaMichael James pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor harassment charge connected to an altercation with a former girlfriend. ESPN Link They also suspended LaMichael James for 1 game. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Its going to be a long off season for the Ducks and the 2010 season won't be as pretty either. Quote Link to comment

It is a complete joke that both James and Masoli aren't kicked off this team. This is not cutting in line at the movie house type stuff. These are serious crimes. Masoli is a senior, should be gone. James is a sophmore. 1 year suspension, maybe, then go ahead a try to come back in a year. Kelly is a complete joke. Quote Link to comment
mmmtodd
hmm...Kind of like LaGarrett Blount being 'suspended' for the rest of the year? Im no longer interested in Oregon national championship odds, but rather an over/under on how many games before Kelly folds and allows Masoli back on the team. Im going to put it at 5 to start things off. Quote Link to comment

Im going to put it at 5 to start things off. No kidding. I will say 6 games because Kelly will say something like "He's done everything we've asked him and he's already missed half the season, so I see no reason why we shouldn't let him back. He's learned from his mistakes, etc etc. Blah, blah, blah." Insert Ke$ha - "Blah blah blah" here Quote Link to comment
wags
not to be too cynical or jaded i say he "rehabs" through spring ball and the summer and is back in the starting lineup by the third game of the year. Quote Link to comment
