BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Interesting to see where people voted in the AP. I'm surprised DeArmond voted them as high as 14 with his anti-Nebraska rants. Quote Link to comment
deedsker15
did u guys watch florida, texas, or oklahoma...we are not as nearly suspect as some other teams high in the polls we have idaho to see where we are at after another week and that should give us more signs of what is to come and we will see if florida and ou and texas finally got their head out of the bums Quote Link to comment
308_Husker
We're up to #6 in the AP poll. AP 1. Alabama 2. Ohio St 3. Boise St 4. TCU 5. Texass 6. Nebraska 7. Oregon 8. Florida 9. Iowa 10. Oklahoma Coaches 1. Alabama 2. Ohio St 3. Boise St 4. Texass 5. TCU 6. Florida 7. Nebraska 8. Oregon 9. Iowa 10. Oklahoma How in the world do we jump Oregon in this situation? I can fathom us jumping Florida in the AP Poll because they've been high on us since the beginning, but, wow. We both play terrible teams and they win 72-0, quite better than our score. Can anybody explain that? Quote Link to comment

TRIPP
Im no die hard stat checking, examining every detail of the game type of guy like some of you are, but in my opinion and my knowledge of the game. This years team is better then last years in all categories. Bo knows how big NE football is to the fans in Ne. Bo wouldent start T-Mart if he didnt think he was best QB of the three to lead the team. We all begged and begged last year to see Lee benched, and when it happened, we wanted him back because Cody wasent doing much better. T-mart gives us options, and with Lee, we didnt have many options. Then we got Rex and Helu, both strong runners. I didnt watch the game, but i cant wait to see some option plays with Tmart and Rex, or wildcat formations etc. Look at our Offense last year and we should of been a 1 loss team because of our D, and Bo says our D is just as good, if not better this year. Ive said it in a couple other threads, but mark my words again. Ne will go undefeated, unless we lose to ourselves from turnovers or we lose to the Refs! I am worried about A&M, and OSU, but otherwise we win every game by 10+ including Texas who we dominate. Quote Link to comment

JTrain
IF the polls were based primarily on on-the-field performances, the top 10 should probably look something like this: 1. Oregon 2. Oklahoma St. 3. Boise St. 4. Miss St. 5. Alabama 6. Michigan 7. Arizona 8. Georgia 9. Ohio St. 10. Nebraska Quote Link to comment

sd'sker
I see we're still rated higher than we should be...still too many questions. did you think we were going to drop in the rankings? Not at all. After beating the worst team from last year, I think it's a stretch to say we belong in the top 10. i think we moved up because we performed to expectations while others did not. non-conf. is not to impress, it is to avoid disappointing; and we did not disappoint. HuskersGJ
I'm going to *guess*, and that's all this is, Herbie may have dropped us b/c of the QB situation. and if that's the case, its fair IMO. At least at the very start of the season when polls change the most. We went from having a veteran returning at QB, always an apparent plus... to having a startless freshman. Now obviously TMart is equal to or better than Lee according to the coachs, but when so little is known this early in the season a veteran QB > Freshman. Quote Link to comment
