Is K-State better than Nebraska???

K-State jumps 5 spots and ahead of Nebraska in the AP poll after beating a .500 Texas Tech team.

This is why I hate the college football ranking system. Nebraska squeaks by tOSU that nobody thought was any good. Then tOSU beats an Illinois team that everybody had a hard on for, so does this benefit Nebraska, nope. They get passed by an undefeated team that hasnt played anybody yet.

 

i dont think K-State can beat Nebraska, thats why this really pisses me off.

Not worried. K-Sucks has to play the meat of their schedule yet. And typical Snyder fashion, super weak non-con. OU, OSU, & aTm will steam roll K-Sucks.

 

And no, they are not better than us. Rankings don't really matter until the end of the season. K-Sucks would be 2-4 with our schedule.

Eh. Just wait. They'll fall after losing to OU, OSU and A&M. One thing that will really hurt KSU this year is that they have to play everyone in the Big 12. They really haven't met the tough part of their schedule yet.

OP I understand and somewhat agree with you. But if you're in an AQ confrence and undefeated I think it's only fair that you be close to the other undefeated AQ's. Eventually things will even out because you'll have to play decent teams at some point. It usually balances out at the end of the year for some reason.

not too worried....once Snyder and Co. comes back to reality and faces the tough part of thier schedule, we'll see thier true colors. I'll be surprised if they are in the top 25 at the end of the regular season.

We are right where we probably should be. The rankings aren't based on teams' defense, it's based on the whole team. Our offense has played pretty well so far this year. And if you look at #5-25, I don't think there is anybody that we couldn't beat right now. The top 4 teams are in a class by themselves so far.

well we are a strange team.... I think if you looked at 26-50 I dont know there is a team that couldnt beat us either..... we have a talented but streaky offense and a talented but underachieving defense.

yes, they will come back to reality at some point and things will even out some. But what gets me how they jump over 2 teams that won and another Nebraska that was idle for the week. To me, that only happens unless you beat a top 10 team.

The only reason they jumped is that at this point in time they are undefeated. Let them have their 5 minutes of fame, they will eventually lose.

At this point, there resume is better... so on the outside, yes they should be higher in the standings. If we played them, we would win...

 

Just one of those things.

 

That all being said, they will lose to Oklahoma, okie lite and probably texas am. I think they can beat texas, but it wont matter much at that point because they will have 3 losses.

Why be angry? The rankings don't matter. But if it makes you feel better, the pollsters aren't the only ones that think KSU has accomplished more to date (remember, rankings are about accomplishments, not necessarily talent). Here's a couple good computer rankings:
