T_O_B Â Without the three point line, there would be more blowouts than there are now. The three point line helps lower seeds stay in games when otherwise the more athletic team would just dominate them. That is what makes the tourney great, the upsets. Quote Link to comment
GSG Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 Without the 3 point line, the defense doesn't have to guard as much of the floor. They can sag inside because teams are going to take long shots that aren't worth any more than a layup. So then you have all 10 guys crammed into a smaller area just around the paint. Scoring will go down and fan interest as well. Like it or not, fans like offense. 2 Quote Link to comment
