huskerswrkhavoc
Players I'd like us to look at: Drew Ellis: Indiana: SS Article Link Max Prep Profile Zac Shannon Archbishop Moeller HS, Ohio: RHP/1B Max Preps Profile Michael Papierski Lemont High School Illinois: Catcher Max Preps Profile David Peterson Regis Jesuit High School Colorado: LHP/1B/OF Max Preps Profile Austin Powell Fountain-Fort Carson HS Colorado: INF Max Preps Profile forgot our own instate boy, shame on me!! Jackson Reetz Norris High School Nebraska: OF Max Preps Profile Jackson has an offer and is already committed to NU. Pretty doubtful he makes it to campus, though. I don't know the Reetz family but know a ton of people from the Firth/Norris area. Everyone I've talked to that knows them believes he'll go to school. I have a hard time believing that he'll end up in school if he gets drafted high enough and gets enough money. You won't hear anything else out of friends/families mouths until he's signed a contract for what bargaining power they can use, but money is hard to turn down. Quote Link to comment

bball_backer
Keith Law ranks Ryan Boldt as the 13th best prospect in the draft. It'd be outstanding if he ended up here, but that won't happen. Recruiting is my biggest area of concern for Erstad, hopefully he finds guys with that right mix of ability but too raw to be drafted high. Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
Dan Hoppen @danhoppen 4h JUCO fireballer Chance Sinclair has committed to Nebraska today. Has used a 95 MPH fastball to post a 4-1 record, 2.72 ERA this year. Dan Hoppen @danhoppen3h I think Sinclair has the chance to make an immediate impact. Mixes a slider and change w/ 95 mph heater, 42 Ks in 39.2 innings this year. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
Awesome! Hopefully he keeps it up when he gets on campus! Finally a guy throwing fireballs! Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
Wow. Sounds like a great get. Hope he makes it to campus. I agree recruiting is the biggest unknown. I think Erstad & crew are good recruiters, but as you know time will tell. The draft certainly makes it a tough call and the B1G rules do not help. I really was disappointed that we missed out on Justin Black. I thought being from Montana that he would be under the radar enough that the pros would leave him alone. Anyway, I wish him the best. I like the idea of recruiting some of the Northern states and Canada as those players don't necessarily get a lot of scrutiny. Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
Talking about Nebraska recruit Ryan Boldt (never want to see a kid get injured, but this may be a blessing for Erstad): keithlaw @keithlaw7h Drops him out of first round. Might get him to Nebraska RT @StPatrickGuy: How does Boldt's knee injury affect his Draft position this June? Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
I read an article that said his type of injury doesn't carry a lot of future risk so that's good news for him. I am going to guess he will go in the 2nd round (pick number 43) to the Twins. Time will tell. Quote Link to comment

I was just thinking about how we are going to replace next years position players. Cox or Fandel might be the replacement for Christensen. (Fandel might end up catching though) Leuty & Only to battle it out for either 1st or 3rd depending upon where Headley plays. Quote Link to comment
