News Ronald Page seemingly had it made when Bank of America unintentionally changed his account status, allowing the 55-year-old man to make unlimited ATM cash overdraft withdrawals. But ABC News reports that Page, who in reality had only $300 in his checking account, used the accidental loophole to withdraw more than $1.5 million—losing it all on gambling. If the guy has a gambling addiction it probly wasn't the first time he was in the place. And I'm sure they'd take notice of someone who loses a third of a million dollars in one night. Usually we notice it right away if something has been changed on our end accidnetally. There have been cases where a customer has made an empty envelope deposit into an ATM for a large amount and spends it all right away. But the bad news for them is, we have cameras at ATM's, and our account program shows when, and where purchases have been made since about 2 years ago. Quote Link to comment

He notified the bank, not once, not twice, but 3 times and even escalated it up the chain of command but every step of the way they told him they had not made a mistake and he didn't know what he was talking about. He withdrew all his (er someones) money and closed his account. As far as I know they never did catch up with it. Quote Link to comment

Apparently stupid people don't realize that there are cameras attatched to ATMs, as well as a record of your transaction and time of transaction?
