benedictbruin
What are your thoughts on the spread? I come in peace. Anybody need info on Pasadena, post it up...I've lived here for 5 decades. Quote Link to comment
Decked
I'll take 10-15. If our offense plays as good as last game Bruins should just turn and run. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
I'll take us to cover. I'd take us to cover if it 10. Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
Unless the Bruin defense improves dramatically, Huskers are going to score a whole lot. I'm guessing by a score of 55-21. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I'd say we'll cover that................not taking anything away from UCLA, but you played Rice so I don't think you really know what you have yet. Quote Link to comment
HuskerBacon
Wow, that's kinda low. I think we're gonna win by atleast 17 Quote Link to comment
strigori
Not surprising. Reading around on national reaction from our win, and there really isn't any. UCLA has gotten just about as much press beating Rice. I think we cover. The UCLA defense looked pretty bad for large parts of that game. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
If I am a betting man, I am easily taking the Huskers Quote Link to comment
'SkersRule
What are your thoughts on the spread? I come in peace. Anybody need info on Pasadena, post it up...I've lived here for 5 decades. A four and a half point spread? If we don't surpass that by at least sevenfold it'll be the most grotesque display of ugliness the world has ever witnessed...kinda like when I found out I was taking Meg Griffin to prom. Saunders
Good thing I'm headed to Vegas on Tuesday. Quote Link to comment
'SkersRule
Good thing I'm headed to Vegas on Tuesday. Put a C-note on the Huskers for me to win the NC...I'm good for it...I swear. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
HOLY sh#t, i actually just loaded up my account after i saw this post, mine actually is up to 5.5 but that won't stop me, i was going to take it up to 13.5, i figured it would be around 11-12 but my God, does vegas know something we don't? tschu
Lines aren't determined by some mythical group of guys running things in Vegas...the initial ones are set by experts and then move according to the action on them. The reason that lines are usually a good thing to look at is that contrary to what people believe, the lines don't move because of public or fan money (As in, a bunch of cornhusker fans betting on Nebraska isn't the reason a line would move in our favor). The main reason they move is that most of the money on these games is placed by extremely informed betting sharps who make their living (or a ton of money aside from a regular job perhaps) betting on sports. Looks like the line has already moved from 4.5 to 5.5 which tells you something I guess. Don't forget that the game is at UCLA which is essentially 3 points in their favor over what it would be on a neutral field. Quote Link to comment

Actually the Vegas lines moves up or down to ensure relatively equal betting on both sides so that no matter which team loses the "house" always wins. Which means that if a bunch of Husker fans are placing bets on a 4.5 spread it goes up to get people to place bets on UCLA. Quote Link to comment
