In 1985, U.S. Navy commander and National Geographic Explorer-at-Large Robert Ballard was commissioned by the Navy to use a submersible to find the wreckage of two nuclear submarines. The USS Thresher and the USS Scorpion both went down in the North Atlantic Ocean during the Cold War, and the U.S. government wanted to know why the ships sank, as well as what impact their nuclear reactors had on the environment. Another 400 wounded in the ensuing chaos of the fleeing crowd. Alone. In Your Underwear. BBC III reports on the trend, and the U.K. seems totally on board. In the book, Miska explains how Finns started drinking in their underwear as a way of coping with the country’s long, dark winters (see above) – when no one could be bothered to wear multiple layers to trek out and meet their friends. It's still crazy to me that we were there the week before. The setup for the venue is pretty much the same and we spent most of the day on the near side in the video. 2 Quote Link to comment
