sd'sker Posted October 17, 2012 Share Posted October 17, 2012 I wasn't able to watch the debate because my daughter had a volleyball game in Hastings. I much more enjoyed that. However, on the way home, I was able to listen to maybe the last 30 minutes which included the part that is being discussed here on the attacks. Romney stumbled on this issue and it wasn't his best effort. Reading the complete transcript of the speech in the rose garden it really is unclear if he is specifically talking about this attack as an act of terror. It is a fact that for two weeks after this, the administration refused to call it a terror attack. So, in my mind, neither of them scored any points on this issue. All that said, I just about drove off the road when the moderator actually fact checked on the fly in the middle of the debate. That was completely out of line and unprofessional. I have never in my life heard a moderator flat out correct a candidate in the middle of a debate. That isn't her place. I believe once she said it she understood her mistake and tried to fix it by agreeing with Romney about the two weeks after issue. Listening to her after the debate on CNN, it felt like she knew she screwed up. no, no, romney and ryan would definitely not want any fact-checking going on during the debates. nor would the american people. why do we think we deserve the truth from our political leaders? also, i am on tweets fact-checking in real-time, why do networks not scroll fact-checks at the bottom of the screen in real-time? You might want to read the fact check on the entire debate. i did not act like only romney needs that facts checked. i said him nor ryan would want fact-checking, but i never said obama or biden would welcome it. Bueller? An American Ambassador is dead on Obama's watch It's Obama's job to figure out what the hell happened....not Husker Board, Bueller or Big Bird. That this was an act of terror and I also said that we’re going to hunt down those who committed this crime. And then a few days later, I was there greeting the caskets coming into Andrews Air Force Base and grieving with the families. And the suggestion that anybody in my team, whether the Secretary of State, our U.N. Ambassador, anybody on my team would play politics or mislead when we’ve lost four of our own, governor, is offensive. That’s not what we do. Go to tech school and learn how to weld. $30. bucks an hour and uo in this area. Business is being turned away in the upper mid-west because we don't have enough welders. If you want a job you can find one. Suck it up and go find it. It ain't gonna come looking for you, you namby, pamby, little panty waste!
