HSKRNOKC
San Antonio around Xmas is absolutely beautiful. I hope it pans out. That would be a GREAT xmas present. 4 days in San Antonio is just what the Dr. ordered. If you haven't been there in a game atmosphere. I strongly recommend it. I have been there for Husker games twice. It was very therapeutic to say the least. Quote Link to comment
bssor
I heard that we might play MSU or FSU in the Alamo or Holliday bowl. What does everyone think about these two matchup? Quote Link to comment
husker rob
I read in the LJS today that the directors of the Alamo Bowl and Holiday Bowl are looking at both OU and NU to represent the Big 12. if that is the case then if NU goes to the Alamo bowl they will play either Iowa or Michigan. If NU goes to the Holiday Bowl then they will play either Oregon or USC if USC loses to UCLA on saturday Quote Link to comment
bssor
Thanks, for the info. Who do we match up better with Iowa, Michigan, or Oregan? Quote Link to comment
DaveH
Bssor, welcome to the board! We have a pretty good discussion going in another thread about this. I am going to go ahead and merge the two. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
I would like to see the Nebraska vs Iowa matchup. Michigan wouldnt be too bad either. I havent seen Oregon play this year, but the only team they have lost to is USC. That would be the toughest matchup IMO. Quote Link to comment
HANC
IMO: Alamo vs Iowa would be great...... 1. Great border rivalry 2. Iowa is good, but can struggle 3. Huge crowd would follow both teams...atmosphere 4. Go 'skers Alamo vs Mighigan would be okay..... 1. Michigan is very good 2. Their power upfront is a concern 3. Very good QB and great RB (if healthy) 4. Go 'skers Holiday vs UCLA would be okay/not great.... 1. very good team.. 2. great offense, would put up big # 3. In-state opponent with home crowd Holiday vs Oregon would be not great/bad..... 1. tremendous team.... BCS caliber 2. I love NU, but not BCS caliber 3. ton of speed 4. Almost home crowd with PAC 10 country Quote Link to comment
rocketlb
looks like with all likelyhood we'll be playing Iowa in the Alamo bowl. ESPN.COM Quote Link to comment

Huskrz65
ISU beat Iowa 23-3? Man, this could be the CU game all over again. Dejavu is a SOB! Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
ISU knocked out Drew Tate early in that game. From there, it just snowballed. Tate is the one guy that can win or lose a game for Iowa, he is that valuable. Put people in his face constantly (ala Ohio State) and he folds. Quote Link to comment
Utah_Husker
They also won at Wisconsin and beat Minnesota and barely lost to Michigan and at Northwestern. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
I think Iowa-Nebraska would be a great game! I wouldn't underestimate Iowa just the same as I hope no one would underestimate the Big Red. Quote Link to comment
