huskers9495
I think the schedule sucks and I hate it. Not playing Michigan, Penn State, or tOSU? Stupid. Agreed, terrible schedule Quote Link to comment
kchusker_chris
Does nobody else see this as a terrible schedule, not excited about Nebraska football looking at that. Just horrible for fans and rankings alike. If we are ranked going into the season, not going to hold water, strength of schedule horrific. Yeah, im calling it a year in advance, no one would take us serious if we did run the table. Thought a move to the Big Ten was going to boost our brand. Does it setup perfectly for an undefeated year, hell it ought to, we dont play anybody. Dissappointed all the way around, Northwestern may be the best team on that schedule when it rolls around. WOW, we are now reduced to getting excited about Nebraska/Northwestern football. at this point (2014), strength of schedule only really matters for the 4 playoff games. being in the B1G, we're likely going to have to win out. I doubt there will be 4 other undefeated teams, so we'd be fine there. can't imagine the Huskers...with the last few seasons behind them, will have enough leverage to get into that top 4 with a single loss. there will just be too many other 1 loss teams ahead of us, and the B1G doesn't carry a lot of weight these days. win out, and the schedule won't matter. I see where you are coming from though. The B1G won't always be in the state they're in. Can't really argue w/ the lack of high-quality teams though. Quote Link to comment

AllNRed
In 2013, Alabama doesn't face South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida. They have LSU at home and A&M away. Those two teams have combined for ONE conference tournament appearance in the last two years. In 2014, Nebraska doesn't face tOSU, Michigan, or PSU. They have to go to Wisconsin and Michigan State. Those two teams have combined for THREE conference tournament appearances in the last two years. Just a little perspective. It happens folks. I wonder if the SEC intentionally gives their better teams an easier sked. The last couple years and this year Alabama has faced Tennessee (crossover) and Vandy, Missouri and Kentucky as the wild card rotating team. This year Bama plays two ranked teams (LSU and A&M) and has bye weeks before each of them. Like last year, they can lose one of the ranked games and still back into the BCS title b/c they have the SEC Meat Grinder schedule that the media plays up. Don't they make the schedule a few seasons in advance. I don't think you can necessarily predict which SEC team is going to be in the basement except those who normally dwell down there. I know I didn't expect aTm have the early success they did. Quote Link to comment

I can't think of too many teams in history that took a national championship trophy home during the season they had a schedule full of top 10 teams anyway. I won't complain. I just would like to see NU match up against a top program one in a while during the season. Quote Link to comment

Thanks. For some reason I always thought conference schedules were complete like 3-5 years out. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
No OSU, Michigan or PSU vs Nebraska is bad for the conference. Wish we could have one of the blue bloods every year. Quote Link to comment

In 2011 LSU played #25 Miss State, #17 Florida, #19 Auburn, #2 Alabama, #2 Arkansas and #12 Georgia. So no, I don't think so Quote Link to comment
BOJ
The parity scheduling also starts in 2016, so as long as Nebraska finishes highly in league play the next two seasons, it will play the best teams from the East division for the crossover games. The "blue bloods" will be back on your schedule assuming Nebraska plays well. Quote Link to comment

sd'sker
The B1G has made a number of questionable decisions with realignment and scheduling.... I thought they were the cutting edge smart guys?! i agree, but hopefully it is because they are working toward something greater and this is an awkward transition time. Quote Link to comment
