Shatel: Something still amiss with Husker defense

that shatel is an astute fellow, he should come write for huskerboard.

anyway, it still comes down to recruiting, which bo is getting better at. it is a problem that takes 2-3 years to recognize and 2-3 years to fix. we are seeing it get fixed right before our eyes. everyone just needs to calm down and realize that the only way we get ahead is with patience. we cannot have the rapid turnaround an sec team might be afforded.

See Auburn 2010, National Champions to 8-5, to 3-9. I'll take consistency over being a one and done any day.

Why is it supposed those are the only two options?

i do not know that those are, but it seems like nu has a lot of disadvantages and bo does have the program in the right direction. so it is worth the wait. just my take.

The point is that it takes time to build a successful program that will last. Bo has taken it in the shorts to get better in the future and we'll see that as the defense improves. You have to remember last years defense should have been playing their best football at the end of last year and these guys should be playing their worst right now.
