I dont care if you are Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. This is one of the tougher name brand places to recruit. But look at that raw talent on the field. Tell me your not excited for that next year. Problem is now Bo likely wont get to see it out and cherish the fruit of his labor. Some new guy will. Thats fotball though.

 

Just remember how hard a coach has to bust his tail to get kids here next time you think Bo cant recruit. If its his schemes and play calling uou dont like, well, cant help ya there.

I'm not sure Michigan's recruiting classes have been as advertised. I don't know many Michigan fans, but the few I do know say Hoke is a better fit for the position than RichRod was. They've said they don't want to see coaching changes. Ohio State has no trouble recruiting or Urban Meyer would not have taken the job. I still like that he called out all the other B10 schools last summer to pick up their recruiting efforts.

I'm sorry, and with all due respect, but if Bo and Kenny Bell let a few idiots on twitter pursuade their opinion of a fanbase consisting of literally millions, then it's time for them to move on. I know it's a dissappointing situation, but if you dont realize that it's the real world and have a perspective that those people are out there, no matter where you go, then there's no hope for you. i would think they understand though.

It isn't just a few idiots on Twitter. It isn't just a lot of idiots on HuskerBoard. There is a real problem with all fans, Huskers included.

I dont think so Q. I bet it's at best 5% of fans in the world that are the dooshbag, asshat types. But the thing is, their voice always seems to be louder, so the perception is all fans are like that. Just look at this board as a microcosm of it all. How many members on here discuss with constructive criticism in a classy way and voice legit concerns without going all dooshbag on players and coaches? Kinda like the theory that the world is completely going to sh#t, when in reality, the world's always had its problems, we just didnt here about EVERYTHING. It's the same thing with fans. Every fanbase has always had it's share of dooshbags, but he current environment of social media allows their voices to be heard by everyone including players and coaches, as opposed to only a half dozen at the local bar or barber shop.

The problem may be that anyone thinks the "greatest fans" moniker means anything or actually applies to any whole fan base. There are some great fans in our fanbase but you cannot apply that tag collectively to any fanbase. Sorry but "we" are not the greatest fans in cfb. It only takes one a-hole to ruin it and we have way more than that. It's really a bad premise to base any worthwhile point on. It is so obvious that I do not feel any need to explain it or apologize for it. There are dicks out there. Anybody who doesn't realize this and can't recognize that "generally" we are a good fanbase, is probably just as much of a problem.

Exactly, and that ONE plane that crashes can ruin the image of an airline as a whole. Customers will go to another airline because of that one plane crash. ONE bad fan that makes headlines can ruin the image of an entire fan base nationally.

Were supposed to be a special fanbase but then the "it happns everywhere" excuse comes out. We are no longer special if we are just shrugging when news of that nature breaks.
