beanman
Erik Spoelstra did one of the worst coaching jobs I have ever seen. Popovich made those guys look bad. I'm not sure he could have done much to change the outcome. He did a pretty good job last year and last year Pop was the one who made a couple critical blunders in game 6 to keep the Heat in it. The Spurs are just a great team. I would have isolated LeBron more and saw what happened in the 4th quarter. I mean, he's supposedly the best in the world. Let him do the work and if they collapse he can kick it out. If Parker's guarding him there's no excuse for giving up the rock. That matchup should result in a layup. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I don't watch NBA very much but I watched most of the finals. Every HS kid should watch the spurs offense and how they move the ball. There isn't anyone on the team who hogs the ball. You literally have to defend everyone and their ball movement puts defenders on islands where they can be beat if they don't play perfect defense. Contrast that with the heat where the offense was basically Labron and....well.....Labron. As good as he is, he can't do it by himself. Again, I hadn't watched any during the season. But, i was shocked at how ineffective the rest of the team was on offense. Normally I would not tell HS kids to go watch NBA to learn how to play BB. But, that ball movement for the Spurs is something to behold. Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
I didn't watch NBA most of the time ..... only one quarter until changing the TV channel (boring IMO). I'm somewhat confused why Lebron was a bad reputation and nasty attitude. Please exactly why? I thought he was a normal basketball player and usually no crybaby and tantrums. BTW, I think he was wrong position ..... mostly outside the arc. Durant too. And how about Ginobili ? I thought washed-up a couple of years ago. Pushing 40 years old ? t-minus 74 days ... I can't wait !! Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Considering Bird and Johnson went against each other several times and Jordan and Johnson went against each other once, some losses are built-in. Of course, Duncan and James have now played twice. ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo 2m Career Series W-L in NBA Finals: Michael Jordan 6-0, Tim Duncan 5-1, Kobe Bryant 5-2, Larry Bird 3-2, Magic Johnson 5-4, LeBron James 2-3 Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
I guess I don't understand the LaBron hate. Tim Duncan and the Spurs are a very very good team. Why trash LaBron over getting beat by them? Quote Link to comment
