carlfense
He stepped right in it without even knowing it. Bo Pelini explained the state of Nebraska football Monday, providing a clear view to the one thing that has sucked the very life from the once proud and powerful program. Apathy. http://www.sportingn...eed-adjustments More at the link including top five coordinator candidates. Edited October 30, 2013 by knapplc Pared down quote per board rules. Quote Link to comment
OH HSKR FAN
I read the article. Is the author suggesting that we have thrown in the white towel? I don't think so. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
What is interesting is that of all the coaching examples the author gave, the preceding coach of the team was not fired in the middle of a season. I wonder why he thinks that has to happen for it to "matter" Quote Link to comment
carlfense
FWIW, I don't think that Bo should be fired mid-season. Quote Link to comment

There is a small contingent who seems to feel that because of our location that we should accept 4 loss seasons in perpetuity. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Bo is being demoted midseason and Carl is coming to take his place. Paps will be fired and Bo will take his spot as D coordinator. Quote Link to comment

TheSker
Another media attempt to stir up the masses and create controversy. Shocking. Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
The Wyoming HC fired his defensive coordinator yesterday after the Wyoming defense gave up 50 points for the second game in a row. As I recall, Nebraska did pretty well the last time we lured a Head Coach from Wyoming. Quote Link to comment

Though I agree if we keep throwing darts at the head coaching dartboard, one has to work out sometime....right? Quote Link to comment
carlfense
Another media attempt to stir up the masses and create controversy. Shocking. We don't need the media for that. Getting manhandled by Minnesota will serve nicely. 1 Quote Link to comment
admo
Thought he nailed it too. Not just what he wrote, but in the video he didn't back down. Under BP we are a 4 loss a year team that hopes good things happen. Ohhhhh.. boy. Quote Link to comment

Is there a rigid definition of acceptance in your mind? There is a difference between accepting 4 loss seasons and defending 4 loss seasons as not bad while at the same time not being okay with them. I don't like that we find a way to lose 4 games a season. But at the same time, I know it could be much worse. Quote Link to comment
gratefullred
At least he didn't write that Nebraska can never be Nebraska again. Quote Link to comment
