gossamorharpy
I apologize if this thread has already been started or duplicated, but after a loss like this I was compelled to say this. I am damn proud of this team and here's why- We turned it over an inordinate amount of times. YET- we were in it till the end... We had the gameplan in place, our defense knew what they were doing. At the end of the day, our players did not make the plays. Whether that means not making the tackle (which was great btw, this defense is growing each week... WHICH I LOVE), or making the right read on offense (which we did, is it just me or could they not stop us up the middle?). I guess the whole point of this post is that this was a great game for this team. I know we lost at home, however, this was the best team we've played all year besides UCLA. I've warned on these boards that we shouldn't take the NW and MU game to our heads as both of those teams had problems of their own. But I am damn proud of this team. Those talking about QB change are out of their minds. If we don't turn the ball over this is a close game or we win going away. MSU is a good team with a great defense and we proved you can move the ball on them on the ground. We just shot ourselves in the foot with the crap turnovers. 3 Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
I'll go with this. I felt the same way. Very proud of the effort and the swagger this team showed no matter how bad things got, all the way to the end. I've said that perseverance and guts are something that can never be in question, and, no matter what happens from here, I am proud to say that that will be a staple of Bo Pelini. His guys have always played and played hard. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
I'm proud. We have dealt with so much adversity, with the media and otherwise. Also the number of injuries we've sustained is beyond ridiculous. This season isn't going to end up special but these kids are playing hard and it shows. The future is bright. Quote Link to comment
NUpolo8
I would bet the rent on orange futures with all the "good job!" orange slices being served here tonight. Quote Link to comment
NoLongerN
I really don't get the post. Proud? Well ya ... for fighting to the end? Sure. So, you inflict 5 wounds to yourself and still fight to the end. As a fan ... we are to say, "good job"!???? Ok, good job team. I'd be more proud of a team that played hard, played disciplined football, executed in all phases of the game ... and even though the circumstances of the day went against them they still battled to the end ... to me ... that is when I can say wholeheartedly ... DAMN PROUD OF THIS TEAM. 2 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
Another good thread about to go down the shithole. Anyway, I am still proud to be a Husker, despite the loss. Our defensive guys fought hard, and so did our OL. Actually everyone fought hard as hell. Quote Link to comment

True2tRA
Via twitter.... Nebraska is officially changing their name to the Nebraska FightTil'theEnders! I love the new name. It has moral victory written all over it which is what it is really all about. Quote Link to comment
clyde40
I don't think anybody is saying this is a moral victory and we should hand out trophies. Why can't there be some middle ground between the we're pathetic, mediocre, terrible, a joke, etc. point of view and the, we're fine there's a lot of programs that can't win 9-10 games every year point of view? Clearly not all is fine in Huskerland, but that doesn't make the football program a cesspool either. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
The huskers never quit... The fact we were -5, and that most of those turnovers gave MSU great field position, I am proud how we never seemed to hang our head.... That being said, I dont think Mark is way offf... the 5 turnovers were our own fault... we only had to show guys and heart because of our own mistakes... At the end of this all, we lost... season is now meaningless. We show heart, but these losses still frustrate me. It wasnt the game plan that hurt us, it was actually(cue Bo) the execution that hurt us and the fact that Cook made some very timely throws. Quote Link to comment

I'm not saying this a moral victory and I'd agree its somewhat pathetic we still turn it over like this and it costs us games. I'm just saying, the way we turned it over today is no reflection of the staff and I'm damn proud of how our defense responded having to rush back on the field and defend on a moments notice like they did today Quote Link to comment

And terrible. And a horrible joke. And if you put Nebraska in any other conference in the big four they don't come even close to 9 wins. And they ain't done it yet here either. 1 Quote Link to comment
