SUPREMES STRIKE DOWN POLICE CELLPHONE SNOOPING

No. What is simple minded is you thinking you can infringe upon my (and millions of other law abiding gun owners) rights to solve an unsolveable problem. That's the problem with acting on emotion, instead of logic. Simple minded, indeed.

Crazy people are gonna do crazy sh#t. Period. How do you propose we fix that? By taking MY rights as a law abiding, tax paying gun owning citizen, away? Just admit it, you gun control people have NO idea how to fix the problem but damnit, "we have to DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING! Do it for the kids." What a joke.

Edit: I would love to take this conversation back to the Gun Control thread and hear how your ideas are going to fix the issue. Problem is, I asked people some very pointed questions in that thread that nobody seems to want to answer. You wanna give it a shot?

You must have me confused with someone who said you should have your gun rights taken away. I said that you calling people what you called them was inappropriate and very simple minded.

And as far as fixing the problem, I don't have an opinion. I have my guns that are used for hunting and home protection. I personally don't feel the need to collect an arsenal. Some people do and that is their prerogative.

You can't refute the fact though that active shooter situations are on a sharp rise in the past decade or so. It's a problem for sure, taking guns away isn't the answer and that's not the point of this thread. It falls back on mental health in this country, that's simplifying it quite a bit, but that's how I see it. Hell I know I carry A LOT more than I used to because I'm not gonna be caught somewhere with my kids and some crazy bastard walks in the mall I'm in with a weapon and I can't do anything about it. You just stepped in the wrong mall buddy..............

Could you clarify for me what an "active shooter situation" is?

BRI,

Dude, you can justify your ramping up of weaponry as vehicles all you want. Fact is, since 9/11, LEO all across the country at all levels have been in a frenzy of militarization. Do you deny that?

And as far as your comments about MIL dudes f#cking up, of course they do. The HUGE difference is that we police our own. You all pull up the Blue Wall and never publically ridicule the jacked up actions of another officer. Other than the dude in TX whom posts his disciplinary actions on Facebook, I have never seen it. It's ironic in this case that you mention the actions of a few. In my experience, the silence from your side of the fence once Thin Blue Line is in effect, is deafening. Show me some cases where an officer publicly called bullsh#t on something a fellow officer did.

Take the idiots in CA who lit up the two paper delivery ladies, mistakenly thinking it was Dorner. Oops, turns out it was two women in a pickup delivering newspapers. Those f#cktards got remedial training. What do you suppose the charges would be for me? Prison, that's what. Too many of your kind operate with impunity and citizens are injured, mamied and killed all the time becuase of it. All becasue of absolute fear, lack of training and the "I'm going home at night, no matter what" mindset (see example above).

Until you (LEO at all levels) realize that you are a major componenet of the problem, we'll continue down this road.

While we're on the military theme, I noticed in another thread that you were an "Operator." AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. You most certainly are, or were not an Operator. Just becasue you jocked up/played dress up, stacked up and kicked doors does NOT make you an Operator. Sure sounds like you want to be one though. Thanks for furthering my point.

So, basically, this is all some pissing contest about how much awesomer you are than a cop because you are/were an "operator?"

Here's your cookie. I also +1'd your post so you have a meaningless internet bonus point, too.

FYI - my mom was an "operator" when you were still crapping your diapers. If only she were online, we could give her a +1 too. Darn all the luck, huh?

My apologies, must have been Junior.

Regardless, you thinking that legally carrying a gun down the street is still a problem. What is your solution?

Again. I never said it was a problem. My issue with your statement is that you want to ridicule people for being afraid of seeing someone walk down the street with a weapon in their hands. Maybe that person is harmless and just expressing their rights. maybe they are psycho and looking to open fire on a crowded street. Since no one knows the intent. It's not wrong to pucker up a little. They don't need people like you calling them names while it happens.

Not to mention most of people that I've dealt with who are open carrying rifles are absolutely desperate for confrontation.

So now you want to get personal, okay dude, that's usually what folks like you do when they are running out of argument points. Get personal hero, it's your world the rest of us cower in your shadow. I served on a SWAT team with former military personnel and none of them had the attitude you do. Congratulations on saving the world buddy. :thumbs

For everyone wanting to be an Operator, I have posted a link to how to accomplish this.

After you know how, you need to get in shape. Another little gem to help accomplish this.

For the record, the guy who makes these is a former Batt guy.

Not really safe for work.

Show me where I ever claimed to be an Operator. Just once. Please? You can't, because I didn't.

How did I make it personal? It's too bad you feel that way but If my identifying a certain mindset of a group of individuals is "making it personal" then I don't know what to tell you. Oh, and I'm no hero, just somebody calling b#llshit where it's due. You self-identified with a term that is reserved for a very select few units/men. You are not a member of those units or you would know better than to toss that term around so casually.

Not sure where you were going with the whole "cower in your shadow" came from but that's just ridiculous. I don't think I'm some bad-assed super hero running around saving the day. Paint me as whatever you want to though so long as you can keep detracting from the fact the the militarization of the Police is out of control.

Watch the vid lo country posted. It's a parody of all the "Operators" running around out there now. Maybe that will help you understand.

Edit: Why didn't you just ID yourself as a SWAT dude and leave the Operator part out? OK, I just re-read muy post and I can see where you think I was getting personal. My apologies if you thought the terms applied to the fools in CA were meant for you. They were not. As for the operator part? That point still stands.
