VectorVictor
Kaz, Fisher should land on there feet somewhere big. Proof is on the tape for those two. In Brown's case it is probably up to him what he wants to do at this point in his career. I seem to recall the last time this happened to Brown, he did local ministry work instead of looking for another coaching gig... Quote Link to comment
strigori
Since head coaches usually take some of their assistants it will be interesting to see who will end up at YSU. If any full time coaches go that would be really, really bad. YSU assistants are looking at about $50k. Some of the grad assistants and interns would make sense, anyone else....well lets just say that would be absolute proof positive they should never have been on this campus. It's incredibly rare that a coach goes from $3.1 million to $350k in salary. Pelini did, thanks to our buyout money. And because he made such an ass of himself that he'd have a tough time finding a comparable job. As for our (former) assistant coaches, I doubt if any could afford to follow Pelini. They would be making a fraction of the money at YSU that they pulled in at NU. I'm guessing that no one follows him. And after a couple years in a small market FCS sh#t-hole like YSU Pelini might realize that he had it made at Nebraska and didn't appreciate all the resources at his disposal. Last guy at YSU make like $260k. So, about what the lowest assistant should make at NU. Really one of the only guys who make sense is someone like Ganz, going from GA to a full time coach. Bo could have got a dc gig this year. He will be fine bc he is a very knowledgeable football coach. He took the step down for location and to take a step back. Ysu is a place to build stock up and make a run at another head job. Isn't that where mangino went too. Quote Link to comment

lo country
Ifthe staff isn't picked up, it's a telling statement about the program and the guys Bo surrounded himself with...... With this in mind, I am anxious to see what Beck and Paps come out with. Do they shine and make us all ask, "where was this the past 4 years, or realize, damn Bo was the only reason we ever won". SWAMI
The guys running our O-Line going to UNLV to work under a head coach moving up from a high school says something about our line coaching. Now that's funny. Quote Link to comment

Wasn't saying he is coming back, but he went there and cleared his name and is setting himself up for another big job. He does more with less at Iowa st. Big guy can coach. Bo can go home and enjoy his 3 mil for a few years then look to take another big job Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Mangino probably wont be a head coach, but you can bet some big program will nab him at some point as OC. Hes a brilliant offensive mind. Id take him here in a heartbeat. Quote Link to comment
