Moiraine
I'm just curious, do any of you who aren't in Omaha or Lincoln live in a town that has more than 0 females on the city council? (Omaha and Lincoln each have 1). The Nebraska town I'm from has 0/9 females on it. Quote Link to comment

NUance
3/14. It's not that voters won't elect them. It's just that females do not seem to be interested in running for office. At least that seems to be the case where I am. Quote Link to comment

Okay, I'll still vote for you. But only if he's a really cute guy. Just don't post his pic in the Daily Skin forum. Quote Link to comment

I find myself waffling between "burn this thread (& Moiraine's candidacy) to the ground" & "how expectedly dissapointing"... I'll help stuff ballot boxes. tho, if you promise to cleanup HB On a serious note, it seems like most of the "good" ** female candidates out here seem to go straight for state office & bypass local city council. The landscape out here has changed a lot in the past 8 years for female politicians; definitely been interesting to see... ** by "good" I mean they have a resume or prior work typical of a politician...
