Well, didn't see this comment coming.

So, he goes to a Clinton fundraiser with his wife. He then declares he is running for President then he comes outing says "Carson is the most brilliant guy".

Interesting.

I've never heard even one Kanye "song", probably never will either. I prefer music, haha...

Well, when I read that I had to chuckle while thinking....."Dude, you would think my cat is a....brilliant guy".

I would say Carson is brilliant when it comes to neurosurgery. Politics? Not so much. I just hope he doesn't ruin his life's legacy--his good name--by getting totally beat up in a political campaign.

As to Kanye, I'm a little surprised he isn't leaning to the left, but I guess when you are a millionaire you don't lean to the left. But like I said, I've never been in the Kanye loop.

I'm pretty sure Carson will be just fine and I'm also sure he is appreciative of your concerns.

LOL.....yeah....all millionaires in Hollywood are so right leaning. Psssssst.....there are people from both political perspectives in every economic class.

I don't think Carson has a clue as to politics and the few times he's offered up a bit of policy, I'm left scratching my head. When's the last time we had an "outsider" for prez? Well, never. You could say Reagan, but he was a governor. Fiorina's take on what she would do "1st day in office" as re: Iran or Putin is just plain hysterical. Trump the same way. You don't just go in and start dictating to the world with a "my way or the high way" approach. They don't have a clue about foreign policy as is clearly displayed in their debates. Trump said, "they're laughing at us", and he's right, the world is laughing, at him in particular.

As someone who is obviously way left and extremely negative to anything remotely conservative, I am not surprised by that.

Carson would be a disaster as prez. Carson says he wants to privatize the VA, LOL, and of course, he went all "Trump" on the entire Muslim population in the USA, LOL! Bernie or Hillary would tear him to shreads in a debate, I mean seriously. It is also rather inconvenient for Dr. Carson that he is a 7th Day Adventist, who happen to believe the Pope is the Anti-Christ. Really bad timing on that one.

What a crock this has been made out to be. He said that he could not support a Muslim to be President. He didn't say one can't run.

What is actually really laughable when liberals flat out state that they don't support a President that believes and follows his or her Christian beliefs.

Well, when he says:

"I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that," he said

he's basically playing--or is sounds like--the bigotry, fear mongering, racist card and that turns Muslims and others against him. He can't unring that bell and that's his problem. I think he should keep making similar idiotic, politically suicidal remarks.

Liberals don't care what a President's religion is as long as they don't govern according to their specific religious biases, i.e., separation of Church and State. Kim Davis, perfect example. The Right Wing obviously panders to the Evangelical base and some, like George W actually invoke their relationship with Jesus as guiding them in policy matters, like, say, going to war with Iraq.

BS....

So, when you or someone else says they couldn't support someone who holds their Christian values close to their heart.....you or they are being racist, fear mongering (to anyone who doesn't like Christian) or being a bigot?

Look, if someone is openly claiming to be a certain religion, they are going to govern in part due to their religious beliefs. It is almost impossible to separate the two.

You don't like the right wing because they pander to the Christians. Are you saying Christians don't deserve to be listened to? Are you being a bigot by saying that?

If someone is a religious fundamentalist, then clearly that is something to take into consideration when voting for them. That's a bit different than a blanket statement saying no "insert religion here" should be elected. He's lumping all Muslims together and making a generalized statement. What exactly would you call that?

It's also hilarious that he complains their values aren't compatible with the Constitution, when the Constitution has language against religion as a deciding factor.

So yes, he's being discriminatory and hypocritical. It's just a few more reasons why he's unfit, and will not, be President.

----

Also, I realize Sanders says he's a Socialist, but he's really not. The closest he compares to is a Democratic Socialist, which is not a socialist in the more like a communist sense.

And as far as I can tell, he's the only candidate who's actually for the people.

Truth.

More on Dr. Ben:

Ben Carson once denounced the Big Bang theory as a ‘fairy tale’ and branded Darwin’s theory of evolution the work of the devil.

The neurosurgeon, a notable creationist, said the theory was ‘ridiculous’ and a story pushed by ‘high-faluting scientists.

He said: ‘I personally believe that this theory Darwin came up with was something that was encouraged by the adversary [satan] and it has become what is scientifically, politically correct.

But Carson, who believes in a creationist theory that all life was created by God around 6,000 years ago

Really? So, then aren't you a bigot against Christian fundamentalists if you would not support one? The constitution doesn't make the distinction. Carson is being slammed in part because people are claiming his view is unconstitutional which is a crock.

It's not bigotry to disagree with someone's beliefs. It's bigotry to discriminate against someone solely because they are "x religion". There's a difference.

“No religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

His view is unconstitutional.

He can have what ever view he wants. Now, it would be unconstitutional if he pushed for them not to be able to run.

There is a huge difference.

And, the post above claims that that poster would not support a Christian fundamentalist. The poster is saying the same thing Carson is.

Carson said nothing about fundamentalists. Unless you're assuming every Muslim is a fundamentalist.

Cornographic,

Do you even listen to these people talk or do you just read the lefty headlines?

Carson explained what he said, and gave the actual context of what he said. He was referring to Muslims that hold their beliefs over and above the constitution of America. Not in this video but he has EVEN said the same thing about ANY religious belief, including his own. Christianity. You can find the video's on his facebook page.

So... he won't be basing his policy on christian ideals, but what he thinks is best for the nation, right?

An atheist would govern under that belief system, a Christian under their system, and so would a muslim.

The thing with muslims, are that their core beliefs include to kill all that oppose islam. I can't believe this is even an issue or talking point in this country.

Look, I have the right to have what ever opinion I so choose. If I choose to not vote for Obama because he is black, that is my choice. Now, what is unconstitutional is if I work to ban black people from even running for office. There is a huge difference here. The left is doing a fantastic job of making Carson's words out to be some unconstitutional thing and they aren't. Now, you can disagree with him. But, he said, "I could not support a Muslim for President". There is nothing unconstitutional about that unless he works to ban Muslims from even being able to attempt to be President.

It's his own personal opinion.

There were people who claimed they wouldn't vote for Romney because he was Mormon. I didn't hear anyone screaming and ranting about those comments being unconstitutional. Why??? Because those comments weren't unconstitutional. They were that person's opinion. Romney was free to run and if he received enough votes, there is nothing anyone could do about it because he had every constitutional right to run even though he was Mormon. The people have every right to vote individually however they so choose.

So....let's say I take your side on this and you have convinced me.

Are you saying that if someone tried running for President and they were a Christian Fundamentalist it's possible to ban them legally from running simply because we used the word "Fundamentalist"?

So why do we let Jews govern? Thing is they'll stone our farmers for planting dissimalar crops in the same field, or people for having tattoos? Hell, they would ban consumption of our beloved bacon! It's part of their core beliefs. Separation of church and state is not a hard concept.

I work with people wearing burkas, and plenty of other muslims who I would never know were muslim. There are probably millions of them in the Detroit Metro and not one of them has tried to kill me or another non believer for not being muslim. I can't believe the ignorance here.

Only the Creationist Ben Carson thinks there are Muslims in the USA that want to impose Sharia Law and that's just one example of why Carson is a political idiot. In addition, he has no experience, and that's why I think the Republiklans should nominate him so Hillary or Bernie can kick his ass in the general election. Carson's tax policy consists of "tithing". Carson has zero chance of becoming the prez of the USA. BigRedBuster thinks Carson is "smart", though, LOLOLOL!

Fiorina's already done and I suspect Carson will be done by December or so.

Bernie about to feel that burn:

Bernie Sanders and his wife have on numerous occasions steered money from organizations under their control to friends and family members, public records show.

The payments benefited the wife of the Democratic presidential candidate, his stepdaughter, and the son of a former colleague in city government whom Sanders has described as a close friend.
