chamrocck
Helton was a safe choice for USC. They had to get major splash and if it wasn't there then Helton makes sense. Surprised Herman to stay at Houston. Surprised Muschamp getting serious look so soon. What has he done with Florida or Auburn? Also surprised Mizzou is not really attracting anyone. I can see Richt getting away from the SEC...no Mizzou, no So. Carolina...Maryland or Virgina make sense. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
They have had months to look for a coach since Spurrier retired, and their main target is Muschamp? Goodness Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen is one of three candidates who interviewed for the Miami Hurricanes' vacancy, according to a report by David Hyde of the Orlando Sentinel. Miami also interviewed Greg Schiano and ex-Hurricanes coach Butch Jones. The same report claims that Mark Richt, fired by Georgia on Sunday, will "talk to" Miami on Tuesday. 247 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
How far has Mizzou fallen? One potential distraction appears to be off the board for Temple as it prepares for Saturday's American Athletic Conference championship game at Houston. Multiple sources have told The Inquirer that head coach Matt Rhule is no longer talking to Missouri about its vacant football job. A source confirmed that the two sides met on Sunday morning in Philadelphia. Behind the scenes a source says that Temple has been in negotiations with Rhule to ensure that he will stay. And apparently, these negotiations were happening well before Missouri sought permission to speak to Rhule. Rhule had signed a contract extension in June through the 2021 season. According to sources, he will earn approximately $1.5 million this year, including incentives. Link Quote Link to comment

Link I think when your football team can start a coup to get the university president fired, it probably sends a message to potential HC candidates as to what they could be dealing with. Bigred_inSD
With Smart coming in for Georgia. You'd have to imagine they are going to gun for a top OC to steal from another team. Quote Link to comment

Scratchtown
Ya know, if Bob Davie was younger. In a couple years he'd become one of the next hot commodities. I like his offense. A lot Quote Link to comment
