The Dude
Tony just needs to retire. Guy will be using a walker before he's 50 at this rate. 1 Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Tony just needs to retire. Guy will be using a walker before he's 50 at this rate. I agree. Apparently he has no plans in doing so. Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
I don't like Romo. He used to frustrate the hell out of me in his prime. But he is one tough son of a bitch. That guy doesn't seem to want to hang 'em up. But he's brittle at this point... poor guy can't take hardly any contact at all. I've got back issues as well, and that hurt to even watch. He had surgery in 2013 for a herniation (likely a discectomy, but it wasn't disclosed to the public), but even that's just patching up an already damaged disc. There's no way to get them 100% back to normal, and they're going to degenerate over time. Then in 2014 he had a double fracture of a vertabrae in his back. He broke the transverse processes, which are like side notches bridging off your vertabrae to help guide and restrict movement. What happened here is just about the worst thing that could happen to someone with a bad back. Flexion (bent forward) and extreme compression (that defender pretty much put all his weight on Tony's spine) is absolutely the last thing he wanted, short of also twisting at the spine, which would've been worse. Now he's got a compression fracture in another vertabrae. On top of his broken collarbone (TWICE!) last season. Poor guy is going to have issues going forward. Multiple back surgeries are probably going to be an ongoing problem for him....Poor guy. Tough, but he should hang 'em up. 1 Quote Link to comment
