This prediction comes from prosecutors and veteran agents who have worked with Mueller and have witnessed his fiercely independent streak. Mueller, they say, won't be satisfied to limit his investigation to the question of Russian meddling in the election and charges that the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin. "Bob will take the investigation all the way to its logical conclusion—way beyond the Russian collusion question," says a former Justice Department prosecutor who now works as a consultant to the FBI. He won't be able to undo them or have the flexibility to 'do nice' to Russia. Danny Bateman Posted July 25, 2017 Share Posted July 25, 2017 It is not plausible that three exceedingly high-up people in the Trump campaign would all attend a meeting they didn't know the content of, which turned out to be about nothing relevant to winning an uphill fight against a better-known and better-polling opponent. Show me proof that Manafort, Kushner and/or DT Jr. attended other meetings that were similarly time-wasting and irrelevant to the election and maybe I'll believe his story. Absent that evidence, and knowing the content of that meeting, I'll believe that Kushner is lying. We're supposed to believe these outstandingly brilliant and competent people leading Trump to victory and now piloting the US government (sans Manafort) were too aloof at the time to read an email subject line? Because that's a talking point I've heard parroted quite a bit the last couple days. 1 Link to comment
