RedDenver
How much of an advantage would a big Husker fan turnout be? Both for the game and recruiting. Quote Link to comment

It's not comparing Oregon to Fresno, no need to take it personally. Our fanbase always shows up big for any road game in a 'destination' part of America. We had about 20,000 at USC in 2006, 20,000 at Washington in 2010, we had more than that at UCLA in 2012, we had 30-40,000 at Notre Dame in 2000, etc. We also always outnumber Northwestern fans in Evanston, we had a huge swath in Fresno, etc.. It's nothing to do with the caliber of opponent (okay, it is somewhat, but that's secondary), it's all to do with the location. Quote Link to comment

Let's see.... Hum ND has a lot more seats to sell. I don't know how many people you took to ND, but let's say you got 20000 into ND and that's around 20%. Given that Eugene is three times further and lets say that distance reduces the number of fans by two thirds. Twenty percent reduced by two thirds is around 7% given Autzen's small size 7% of 54000 is just under 4000. I've suggested that perhaps if Neb fans are creative especially given Oregon coming off a bad season and a coaching change that perhaps Neb would get maybe 7000 into Autzen. Anyway all I'm saying is I'll be very surprised if Nebraska gets anything close 20000 in Autzen. And NO Fresno State isn't comparable to the Univ of Oregon. Quote Link to comment

RedDenver
I'll be mildly surprised if the Huskers have less than 10k fans there, but I doubt it'll get to 15k Quote Link to comment
