The so-called Russian/Trump connection investigation is long over with and there is absolutely NO evidence of any wrongdoing by anybody. All of it is just a big Dem smoke and mirrors effort to attempt to undermine the investigation into the real scandal which is the Obama / Clinton unlawful spying on the American people and particularly surveillance / wire tapping of Republicans and conservative individuals and organizations.

The important aspects left in the process are the prosecutions of those involved in the improper spying, leaking and etc. of Americans.

And there it is. Trump's crooked deals, his lying, collusion with Russia, his profiting off of his businesses as he holds political office...

None of it matters to people like 84HuskerLaw because Trump is a republican.

Rank and file republicans...they'll let their "leadership" do and get away with anything.

Oh but if it was Obama, Clinton, or some other lefty, they'd self-righteously be screaming that these people should all go to prison.

You mean other than Trump's Nation Security Adviser Flynn taking money from foreign powers and being compromised? If there's really no wrong doing by the Trump admin, then let Congress appoint a special investigator and get to the bottom of it so we can then move on to the leaks and improper spying. Heck, appoint separate special investigators for each, and let's find out what's really going on on all accounts.

I usually don't chime in on 84's posts, but this time he's actually factually inaccurate.

For instance, there was no unlawful wiretapPIng of Americans that we know of. Any Americans who had information incidentally collected had that done because they were conversing with foreign intel targets.

And with incidental collection, they still went to FISA court and obtained a FISA warrant that okayed it. This wasn't some nefarious happening.

Unmasking, by its very nature, couldn't be used to target Trump associates because they were, well, masked beforehand.

This whole narrative being pushed that intelligence is over the line in this instance is borderline absurd. There's a conversation to be had about Big Brother, but surely not now.

It's the scarier possibility which is Americans won over to their swill.

If you'll listen to the Russians, Emmanuel Macron is literally a psycopath who is secretly gay and hates France, which deserves to rot in globalist hell.

We should take our cues from these folks -- there's no chance at all they're not pot-stirring to suit their own counter-West interests.

Secretly gay?

Gee, where have I heard that before...?

I don't know ...

In March 2004, President Bush’s warrantless domestic spying efforts were temporarily suspended after then-acting Attorney General James Comey refused to sign on to an extension of the program “amid concerns about its legality and oversight.”

Today, during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Comey detailed the extraordinary and potentially illegal efforts made by Alberto Gonzales and Andrew Card — then White House counsel and chief of staff, respectively — to attempt to force John Ashcroft to overrule Comey, despite the fact that Ashcroft was debilitated in a hospital with pancreatitis.

Similar to what Nixon did when he felt the heat, fired the chief watergate investigator. Now donnie molester must be feeling the heat after the latest set of subpoenas. Here is the kicker, late tonight by coincidence the white house setup a meeting for tomorrow between him and the Russian foreign minister. Time to work on some strategies with our "pals".

Seriously this guy really thinks the country is filled with drooling idiots.

Hmmmm. Nix Bush. At least W didn't fire Comey!

This has got to be more serious.

Yeah, I think this is probably more serious. A lot of comparisons to Nixon right now.

Re-reading the quoted section above, it occurs to me that Bush eventually made Alberto Gonzales the AG. I think the passage of time has led us to forget a lot of the outrages of the Bush years. It wasn't for nothing.
