The win over Michigan State in '15 is ever more intriguing. Biggest upset since we beat #2 Texas in 1960. Sparty went on to beat Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa, the latter for the B1G Championship. What in the actual crap? How do we go from losing to Illinois and a PITIFUL Purdue squad to beating the eventual conference champs?

The only  thing that tells me is that we have the kids to win, or at least we did. We just haven't had the coaching, and I have to believe Frost is the guy to make this thing work again.

By point spread it wasn't that big of an upset.  NU was only about a 6 point underdog entering that game.  That game showed that there was a decent amount of talent, if Riley were able to use it correctly.  Unfortunately, the talent, conditioning, and winning spirit deteriorated significantly the more years that Riley was there.
