Whitmer didn't cancel sports in Michigan at any level, the athletic association did. If the Association or the University of Michigan presented a plan they maybe could have done something, just like the automotive industry did to restart. As far as schools go it's pretty much been up to the district to decide what to do. Some are back in person part time and others are fully remote. ZRod Posted September 3, 2020 Share Posted September 3, 2020 Gyms are reopening in Michigan, and sports activities are being allowed again at places like bowling allies and skating rinks.
