admo
So glad they killed the shift. Finally! About time. I also like the pitch clock. The only thing I still do not embrace is extra innings rule (2nd base) aka Manfred Man and Ghost Runner. So stupid. The only reasons it is great <insert whatever underlining BS you want to say - I don't care and don't agree with it > Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I’m against this too. As maddening as it is, the gamesmanship of dealing with the umpire is part of the game. You take that away and it just becomes sterile. 1 Quote Link to comment

There are a lot of things that used to be "part of the game" but then people lose their minds when a ref/ump gets something wrong that can't be corrected. As evidenced right here on this here board. When there is a part of the game that is (supposed to be) very well definied, I don't think it's the worst thing to have that administered consistantly. This is an interesting change. I'm not against speeding things up but I wasn't expecting it to be this fast. 1 Quote Link to comment

Functionally it's not, because of the variation in how it's called. But it "should" be a perfectly defined matrix. Per the rule book. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
So frustrating as a cubs fan. 1 Quote Link to comment
