But in the weeks running up to Desert Storm, Saddam Hussein's propaganda guy told the world that what was coming if the coalition attacked was "the mother of all battles." The "mother of all battles" lasted maybe a month? Maybe two? Saddam, like many strongmen, had a giant army of manpower. One of the largest in the world at that time. The US, and the allies, had tech. Tech defeated manpower. Decisively. That's what would happen today if Republicans would stop obeying Putin and properly arm Ukraine. And then Ukraine could join NATO, and put a huge curb on Russian aggression. A right proper concrete barrier on Russia's border. Isn't that preferable to Putin taking over Ukraine?

Because Russia is still a 21st century military even if they're behind 20 years. They have modern armor comparable to NATO. They have modern fighter/bombers comparable to NATO. They have longer range air-to-air missiles than NATO and other comparable standoff weapons.They lack strategic competency and ooze corruption, that is really what holds them back, and why a wall of bodies is needed.

It's a fluid battlefield and it's complicated. I get it. It's hard to understand. Let's just talk simple, basic logistics. You're half not wrong here. "not enough systems" is the correct answer. Ukraine has a population of tens of millions. "Not enough men" isn't a problem. "Not enough systems" is. It takes Russia 20 weeks to train a tank team. Let's just pretend the tank itself magically appears and doesn't cost time, money or resources to produce. It takes Ukraine maybe half that time to train drone operators to destroy that tank. And millions less dollars to produce that kill. Properly supplied by freedom-loving democracies, of course. And Ukraine needs two people to destroy that tank. Russia loses twice that many people in that strike, with at least twice those resources to train, costing millions more dollars. Boom. Gone in a few seconds. But you know that. That's simple logistical knowledge. A tiny little drone with a gaming controller takes out a tank. If you want to claim to not believe that, I can link a source with dozens and dozens of crisp videos showing this. So it's not a matter of not enough men. Manpower, waves of men, is Putin's only advantage here. But we know that can easily be nullified with tech. But one political party in America has prevented that from happening. And we know, because you said so, that you don't adhere to that party's beliefs. We believe you. We believe that you are on the side of freedom, and not on the side of Putin's totalitarian regime. But if the West, NATO and America, who has weapons to defeat Russia to spare, properly supplied Ukraine, they could defeat the Russian aggressors. Why shouldn't we do that, knowing Putin's aggression doesn't stop at Ukraine?

I think Dannen just wants to know what the bill for the NCAA/players settlement is gonna be before we commit to forking over half a billion or so for the stadium...

Not enough systems. Tanks, aircraft, artillery, etc not enough men. They are not going to get any of the volume needed. It is literally that simple. Not regurgitation of Russian propaganda. The Ukrainians have fought valiantly for their homeland. But Russia is still formidable. And they are not the same force as when they entered the war. Ukraine has a patchwork of western equipment with no or limited inhouse capacity to manufacture and limited fabrication or repair. That is it. Not enough men not enough equipment. It would take a tremendous effort for ANY country to retake that.

There is no evidence of this and polling represents overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Trump is currently polling in ways that indicate a vast new political realignment where Democrats Presidential politics will have to change for a generation. Betting sites are ASSUMING that Bidens numbers improve because they really can't get worse. Even still, he needs to improve his numbers so much that he may lose anyway. The most likely scenario is a repeat of 2016 - a decesive electoral college Trump victory but a narrow popular vote victory for Biden.

I don't think the case is a non-factor, I think if Trump is found "Not Guilty" his support will become insurmountable. His odds of winning will be extremely high, dare I say borderline guaranteed. If he's found guilty, it probably moves the race back to a coin flip, maybe slightly Biden favored. He's obviously guilty of the crimes outlined in the Documents case, but obvious corruption has prevented it from proceeding.
