I agree and what concerns me is that Frost isn’t recruiting big lineman. As if this isn’t a concern for him. I felt like this is what we needed immediately when he was hired. It seems like SF wants to build a UCF team and offense for the BIG. I am not sure that works.

I think if you include the performance in game one, you will have the unfortunate answer.

All of that is sage advice if you are playing OSU, Wisconsin etc...that is coming and we can all excuse those losses with “patience”. But we lose to teams who have/had losing records, who are underdogs, blah blah. THAT is what is hard to stomach. When you can’t beat inferior teams with a 17pt lead your team isn’t very good. I am all in on Frost but it is quite sobering to think we have to wait years more just to get where we were with Pelini. I saw nothing in the first 2 games that shows me we have made any steps forward from where we were 3 years ago. I don’t understand how that is possible.

I really don’t even know what to say about this game. It’s so disappointing and yet so familiar. We just cannot ever seem win those games that show we have turned a corner. We have had no identity as a program for years. I am bothered by the toughness (lack of) and resilience of our team, even under Frost.

How many wins did CU have last year? That was a reason for optimism. Yes, it will probably be a long year. Again.

Someone posted that there is NO beer garden/party at Harvest House this year? That seems odd but they claim they called and the hotel said no. That would be a first but who knows. Also: the $50 blur party does NOT include food or drinks. You have to buy those separate. And it doesn't start until 10am. Where are we drinking at 8am?????

I thought the CWS beer sales would cause problems and I haven't seen any. Most NU fans already have a good buzz going in there--I also go out at half and drink so the game is my sober time. I like that. Beer at Memorial absolutely will happen. I doubt they will sell it in the stands...those kids working there work very hard. I hate to see them get sidelined by beer sales.

I know lots of people coming up from Omaha and PHX. I am the only one with tickets so far but I think lots will loosen up after opening weekend. Their fans are NOT passionate and are holding to try and make a buck. They will need some weed after the holiday and start dumping tix. Someone in Omaha said they are expecting 20K fans? is that right? How many did we have in South Bend? GBR!

Definitely go to the Single Barrel to pregame to hear the famous Sidetrack band. They sing the fight song, tease opposing fans innocuously and play oldies set to football lyrics too. Very fun. Also hit Barry's if you can for a beer. Those are long traditions in Lincoln for sure. I'm sure others can offer food suggestions. I never eat down there, only drink beer! Have a great trip and wear your Vols gear. People will talk to about your team all day long. We love football.

Harbaugh is light years from Riley. His players are too. Michigan and Ohio State will own the conference while we fight to be (or not to be) Iowa.

Our record isn't helping the vibe. The fan base is shell shocked.
