  1. Hopefully Chin sees the sign and applies.
  2. Bet against NU. It’s been profitable. The running ability of Maryland’s qb and his big arm will kill the no pressure 3-4 base defense. NU couldn’t beat a 3rd string QB and they blocked two punts. Sobering but it’s reality.
  3. I would take a NW defense all day over Chinander’s defense. The NW defense is fundamentally sound.
  4. Frost should get 6 years at the minimum. If you can’t see improvement by then, he will be doing something wrong or the people he surrounded himself suck. The excuses will have run out. A bowl game or two should not be too much to ask in that span of time. Right...?
  5. Are you going to go player by player? AM went backwards. The LBs are...not sure of the right word but out of position a lot. The DLine is a bombastic failure. Got fat. Big step back. The TEs...don’t know because they hardly use them. The freshman RB...he got a play in. I said they need to start developing players AND playing sound football because recruiting will suffer if they don’t. (It looks bleak right now)Time will tell what this staff can and cannot do. It all comes out in the wash.
  6. Consistency? They have been consistently awful since they’ve been here. If they don’t start developing players and playing sound football, recruiting will tank. Top prospects aren’t coming to Lincoln if the coaches can’t coach themselves out of a wet paper bag. Hopefully, they get to a bowl at some point in their tenure. I want Frost to turn it around but I don’t want 7 years of the crap fest product we’ve seen so far. Get your guys and win. No more excuses.
  7. If I were HC, my DC wouldn’t suck nuts. Id use a Maryland I in short yardage. I’d also use a diamond formation to mix things up. if Vedral was healthy, I would give him a shot after AM skips the easy passes. I’d also have a package for the freshman qb to get some playing time during the season.
  8. I’ve come to the conclusion Chin isn’t going anywhere. My hope is Moos hires some “analysts” or “consultants” like Alabama did with Stoops. Get a guy with some experience who can help the coach with the “x” and “o” side of the game. Chin is clearly lacking in that area. This would benefit everyone. Frost saves face. The on field product improves. Fans are happy. Chin can grow into the position.
  9. Frost thinks he is the answer long term. It’s why he brought him to Lincoln. Frost is use to seeing teams carve up his defenses. I didn’t like the hire from day 1.
  10. Please tell me the same thing about Chinander’s defense. They attacked. Complex. This D can’t cover anyone coming out of the backfield. Rb or Wr.
  11. Just go to Iowa. It’s legal to gamble on games. Not near as entertaining as Sin City. Whisky should be favored by 28.
  12. Unless he’s gimpy after last week. NU looked better with Vedral that’s for sure.
  13. NU needs to raid the portal and the JUCO ranks for talent.
  14. You play your conference. You replace the Colorado’s with St Mary School of the Blind.
  15. If I were Frost: Schedule as many weenie teams as you can in attempt to get to a bowl Recruit the JUCOs hard. Get an analyst(former coach), co-DC, and/or co-OC to help with the coaching and oversight. Put a power package in for goal line. just for starters.
  16. NU’s suckiness pays me at the casino again. In Chinander’s ineptness I trust.
  17. Mills had success running north south verse Purdue. I think NU can push them around.
  18. Use a power package for starters on the goal line against Purdue.
  19. The bowl game should be motivation. Do they want it?
  20. Go to the casino throw down coin on Purdue. NU won’t find a pass rush, a 3-3-5, 4-2-5, or any other stellar defense that knows what it’s doing. Do you think they will play better on the road, make an adjustment, or come out of half and play like their hair is on fire? Worst case scenario, NU wins and you don’t care about the loss of a few bucks.
  21. I wouldn’t hold your breathe on that one. He should have done it at some point against Indiana. He had two weeks to prepare for a passing team.
  22. If your willing to pay, you can get season tickets. Over the last 25 years, I’ve dropped mine. Got different ones. Dropped those for a few years. Purchased new ones. Got moved up 10 rows because NU wanted more donation. Dropped those after a few years. Got new ones. You can get good seats if you want to pay for it. The University will make room. If the DC can’t figure out a 4-2-5 soon, the seat choices will get better when you are ready to return.
  23. I’m sure this looks good for recruits. Per Wikipedia: Erik ‘Chimichanga’ Chinander (born December 19, 1979) is an American football coach. He is currently the top 2 worst ever defensive coordinator at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.[1] He played college football for Iowa.[2] He was also Scott Frost's defensive coordinator at UCF for two years, including the undefeated 2017 UCF team that was ranked No. 6 in the final AP Poll.[3] Erik Chinander Current position Title Defensive coordinator Team Nebraska Conference Big Ten Biographical details Born December 19, 1979 (age 39) Playing career 1998–2002 Iowa Position(s) Offensive lineman Coaching career (HC unless noted) 2003 Ellsworth CC (OL/DL) 2004–2009 Northern Iowa (TE/RC) 2010–2012 Oregon (GA) 2013 Philadelphia Eagles (Asst.
