    Of course it's a good thing but we'll have to forgive the people who aren't dancing in the streets over it. It is sort of like.....Before- they raped our wives and daughters at will. Now- They may rape our wives a bit less. Progress? yes. Something to get overly happy about? meh, only relatively speaking.

    Hate to say it guys but, based on this weeks committee rankings, it doesn't matter what we do the rest of this season, Nebraska will be left out of the playoffs regardless. It's probably a moot point point but I really thought if we took care of us things could work out. Nope.

      Considering we have (possibly) 3 ranked teams left on our schedule, Wisconsin, Minnesota and a top 10 OSU, I'd be surprised if we were left out at the end of the season IF that were to happen. The meat of our schedule is ahead of us. I'd be more concerned if we stayed around 15 after we win @Wiscy. I assume a win (our first top 25 of the year) @Wiscy puts us at 10 or so.

      The problem is, Wiscy, Minny, & Iowa ARE the meat of our schedule. Beating all three of them soundly is not going to impress this committee. These past two rankings show us what they value and those 3 don't/won't/can't have the "pizazz".

    The Board seems a little tense this week. If we play near our capability, we destroy Wiscy. Sadly I predict we will do what we have in all big games for the past few years. Hope I'm wrong and that things truly are different, we owe Bucky a beat down.

    Brilliant! Wordy justification for anti-social behavior, AND you think it actually makes it ok. Wow! We swear at old people and call them a-hole. (it's ok, that's just how it is) We act like asshats because we don't know how to behave in public. (it must be someone else's fault for taking exception to the behavior) We're going to keep on acting like dickheads because, well, that is what we are and we feel like it. mmmmkay. I don't believe I will be going Madison ever. I can get my fill of the "feel" of Camp Randall by watching reruns of Jackass and I choose to not reward the behavior with my money. I know you won't miss me and I sure won't miss Wisconsin fans. Already have passed up CU fans and that is saying something.

    If it helps, I don't think the west is THAT much worse than the east. It is a cyclical thing and will likely change. But last and this year +/-, it sure isn't very strong. I don't really care how strong our division or conference is as long as the Huskers handle their own business.

    I'm not seeing where this is any weaker than the B1G West division. That slate of teams would give the top B1G west teams 1 or 2 losses easy.

    meh, I don't care much for the trophy or the name of the trophy but, I do think of all the B1G teams, Wisconsin could be the one to develop into something resembling a rivalry. The hatred and animosity towards their rude asshat fans is coming along nicely. All we need to do now is become their equal (or superior) on the field. We haven't held up our end in that regard yet. I would rather the trophy was some sort of brown jug, or rusty spittoon, or some such thing....maybe the spoiled bratwurst, hell IDK but this trophy is so much like the heroes game trophy, which just comes off totally contrived (because it is).

    As of right now, completely agree. Tommy needs to turn it up along with the offensive line. The line needs to start playing like they did against Miami. I'm much more worried about Neb playing Ohio St. than MSU. I've heard Bo talk about his dislike for spying a QB...but I'd love to see Randy playing stand up for most of the game, spying Barret. Gregory isn't fast enough to spy Barret. Sounds interesting but don't think it would work out very well.

    It sure didn't help us any. Beating MSU in the ccg would have allowed us to tidy up our only loss of the year. Facing tOSU does not afford us the same benefit and also I believe they will be much more difficult to defeat. Of course this assumes we take care of business these next three games and I am fully expecting one or two losses so it probably won't matter at all. I've got to see us win a big game before I'll believe it can happen.

    It's not for being optimistic. I too think we can win all three. It starts getting a little stupid though when you "guarantee" things that you have no control over. Or when you offer as evidence that you bet on the Huskers or that our ranking has improved since you joined the board. I guess it just comes off as juvenile and a bit sad. But I will try to be less critical. It's not my byte storage space that is getting wasted I guess.

    At a cursory glance, it would appear the lower cost per win coaches are the lower paid and/or they are having better than usual seasons. On the higher end it is the opposite, higher paid coaches and/or worse seasons than gypical. Don't see any real shockers here.

    I invite you, and everyone who doesn't want to read it, to use the Ignore function. Nothing is being said that will change anyone's mind, there are no new points after the past year of this same garbage, there are just people on this board with an agenda and that's all they're interested in talking about. If you aren't, ignore them. Ignore Function Tutorial I understand that some people want to keep presenting the same issue from multiple angles. I choose to not argue with Polo because I agree with most of what he says. However, I'm not particularly fond of the fact that he says it everywhere, all the time. But, if somebody is going to argue with him, it would be nice if it was over something substantial and not just the fact that he's NU POLO and they want a piece, any piece of him. This deal with HTO and the road/away game crap amounts to no more than if the issue had been a typo. That's what was annoying me. But, I will keep the ignore function at the ready because I get the feeling this posters only purpose is to argue with Polo. I understand it can get old seeing the same old thing day after day bUT maybe the people that need to use the ignore function are the ones that can't resist arguing for arguing's sake.
