      Our offense has shown lots of potential. Our defense has only shown it's ass.

      I agree.  We can't handle them uprmfront on defense yet.  We don't have true nose, our Lbs are not good and our DE are not B1G level yet.  Offense looks like it needs to.  Defense will take a couple years, but that is the hand he is dealt.  Can't make guys do things they can't and that was very evident tonight.

      Yeah, the defense is definitely a problem. The offense is becoming more consistent, though, and is fun to watch. Ride out this storm, I think we'll be okay.

    I liked what I saw in the first half. Hopefully they can use this experience and build on it. And I hope that AM's knee isn't a problem going forward.

      Now to get him physically here, start getting him in shape and see if he can help the team.  I'd hate to see him get hurt early if he is out of shape.  The jump from high school to D1 BIG 10 is considerable.

    Our defense had absolutely no answer to Ohio State. Absolutely none. The offense wasn't much better, but at least we weren't shutout. As a highlight, I thought Lee played a serviceable game.

    Anybody else wonder if football as we know it will still be here 10 years from now, given CTE? I'd have to think that entities from midget football, to Universities, to the NFL would have be wondering if they are facing a potential billion-dollar-plus liability lawsuit.

      the entire college system is being turned on its ear. telling kids that they can get a free education in exchange for passing up gajillions of dollars is growing less credible by the second. just wait till college football doesnt exist anymore (as we know it). this is what happens when schools won't pay kids.

    I seriously wonder if we need to start pulling (or denying) AM licenses for "hate radio" stations. We are inundated with them. KFAB would be a good place to start.

      KFAB = Hate Radio... Really? How is it that an AM radio station (regardless of content) can get you so upset? Khaake - Go speak with your elders, it will help with your perspective outside of your bubble.

      Tony - I honestly don't have a specific antidote, but incitement is commonplace. The thing that set me off is that one of their local talk DJs posted a diatribe on their facebook and webpage page Sunday blaming the victims for getting hit by that car. That sort of crap has been ongoing for decades on AM.
